chapter 16:My own home

The trip was long but I finally made it back to my own hometown. I pulled up into the driveway where I saw my mother's car and my father's car as well. Took a deep breath before getting out and heading up to the door and preparing myself for the lifetime of embarrassment. When I knocked on the door I waited for a minute until it was pulled open and then I saw my older sister melody, a girl with black and pink dye red hair and blue eyes

"Hey, sis how's it hanging "?

I asked as she didn't seem happy to see me and slam the door closed. I guess I already knew that was going to happen. I sort of left without telling everyone but I did tell my mom.

Ignoring what happened I took out my spare keys that I took with me just in case something like this would happen and unlock the door and walked in with my suitcases. I saw my sister Melody still standing where the kitchen is and she only glared daggers at me before walking into the kitchen so I could only guess that she was pissed that I left without saying goodbye to her

I left my suitcases at the front door entrance and close my door behind me as I followed Melody into the kitchen, I found her cooking in the kitchen with her back to me

"So I'm guessing you're mad at me?"

I asked her but she didn't say anything

"Come on sis, I'm sorry that I didn't say anything to you but you were busy and I didn't want to trouble you"

I told her but she still ignored me so I gave up trying to talk to her and went to go find my parents. I knew they like to spend some time together out in the backyard just relaxing so I headed there first before I wanted to check it and see if my father was in his office. When I headed out to the backyard I saw my mother there watching my brother's play football in the back

"Hello mother it's nice to see you"

I said walking out to her as she turned to look my way, she smiled happily at me and got up from her chair and gave me a hug telling me that she missed me dearly.

"When did you get back?"

"Actually I just got back today, I asked my boss if I could have a couple of months off and he agreed and let me"

I told her she was really happy about this, around dinner time my sister Melody still didn't talk to me as for my brothers they were also happy that I was back and as for my father he was still at work putting in the overtime. We talked a lot during dinner time and I gotta say it felt nice being back home with everybody, well, not really, I just remembered that the only reason why I was happy to be away from it all was because my older brother Toby is the biggest jerk in the universe. The only thing he likes doing is pissing me off and picking on me and Tetsuno.

"What's wrong, did you come home crying because you got dumped by a girl"

Toby asked while teasing me, I glared at him and wanted to say something but didn't, I didn't feel like there was a point. But then again....he couldn't be more right for the reason why I came home. When I got done eating a thanked my mother for the food and headed to my old room after I got my suitcase that was still at the door

I didn't bother unpacking, I left everything in my suitcase and lay down in my bed , my room still looked the same, my gurren lagann and Air gear posters up on my white walls, I had my flat screen TV on with my PS5 and Nintendo switch in the corner of my room with a bookshelves full of games, I didn't have many friends before I left high school....well I did meet this girl name Cherry who was crazy about me and liked me but I never liked her, we did date but in the end I was being used and found out she was cheating on me with the football star player

I was lost in thought thinking about how my life went from worst to good but then back to bad. I heard my door open making me laugh ok to see my brother tetsuo

"Hey , wanna talk?"

He asked , I nodded while getting up, he closed the door when coming in and sat next to me on my bed.

"So, what's up"

I asked , tetsuo sigh and didn't know we're to start and told me that toby was doing good in college but dropped out because if his injury he got during the semi-finals. I did feel bad but not as much he is a jerk

"So why did you come home?"

He asked , I understand why everybody was so concerned that I was home, I felt like they didn't want me home because of all the questioning.

"Doesn't really matter why I'm home, aren't you happy that I'm back?"

I questioned him as he apologized and said that he was happy that I was home.

"I won't go back until December so you get to keep me for a long time "

I looked at the calendar that said July 1. I was happy that I took this break but I already knew that it wasn't going to be a peaceful break since Toby was the one home all the time during simple jobs.

"Whatever reason your back I don't care, But you might want to avoid Melody she's kind of mad at you"

Tetsuo warned me, the two of us started talking for a bit before he left saying that it was his turn to do the dishes and so my home life began.
