Part-31 Demands

"Hey! Come out and face me!" A small but valiant voice calls out.

"Here I am! We won't serve you anymore! Not without proper supplies!" Sayori's call went unanswered.

She can't hear me!

Looking around she picks up stone from the filled in craters and throws it with all her might.

The stone breaks on impact with the wall, but it failed to attract anyone's attention.

"HEY!"

Tossing stones up to the balcony brings in some attention, but not the kind she was looking for.

"Sayori! You can't do this alone!" The head nurse spoke loudly.

"I don't care! They will listen to me."

"They won't listen because they can't! Come on girls!"

Sayori leads the chant, and the rest of the nurses follow. With this group strength, they protest with vigour. And this lures in others from their menial tasks.

Everyone had something against the commanders and their groups. Today Sayori will force them into helping the lowly positions. The rebellion starts today, and will end today.

Then, the torturous witch shows her face to the crowd. Sayori's blue eyes lock onto Eva's. Along with Eva comes out Jakob, who is regaining his composure.

Seeing the mob grow larger gives Eva the signal.

Guards who were doing their job came in to voice their complaints. The cooking staff marched out to join, knowing this is their time.

It's not long before this small protest becomes a riot.

Eckhart stomps his way out to the crowd, stopping just inches away from Sayori who stares him down. Eckhart threatens her without even saying anything.

"Eckhart!"

Eva's voice silenced everyone.

"Do not touch her. We are hearing them out." She spoke with confidence.

Her 'big brother' stands down and moves off to the side. Eva herself stands in front of the crowd.

Sayori and the nurses are ready for anything.

"Sayori, is it? What are your demands?" Eva asked the fearless girl.

"We are unable to treat our injured because we are all out of supplies! No one is getting help because we can't!"

Eva doesn't yell, she doesn't raise her weapon or even bark an order. But she listens closely.

"Commander Eva," Cade salutes his leaders before pushing up to the front, "I can verify her claims. They're empty! They couldn't clean up Kris' cut."

Kris stands next to Cade.

"So it seems." Eva understands.

"Cade! Why are you not at your post!"

Eva silences her brother again.

They haven't killed me yet, so I must be doing something right!

"Hey! We're tired and hungry!" A girls voice calls out from the crowd.
