"You're kidding right? First we have to deal with her telepathical cynicality. Now this?" Otis said gaping. "I mean what is all this mumble jumble about wizards witches whatever they call them? That stuff is for human movies."

"I know its odd. But all these supernaturals are there. We just pay attention to ourselves that we don't realise whats out there." Lenny defended the wizards. Or so she called them.

"Why are you so certain?" I asked naturally curious at her persuasion and seriousness.

"Oh Roman. I'v really missed you." She breathed in an act of cajoling. How shameless.

"Where the fuck is Cruis?" I asked hands folded above my chest, head cocked to one side.

"In her house. Nali's house." She responded quickly.

I had seen and heard from her enough. I abruptly gave orders to the were's that brought her in to lock her up. I despised the acts of a traitor.

"Roman don't let them take me please." She begged in defeat as the four guys carried her out of the lounge and house. I ignored her pleas vehemently.

Otis and Mesalla sat on the couch behind them. I joined them sitting on the one inclined to theirs.

"What I would do to get my hands on that fucker. He was so close." I muttered angrily.

Otis chuckled a little. "Hold your horses man." How could he be this calm after all this. I mean every now and then anyway.

"The girls would never let us kill him. Arlene anyway." Mesalla said. His face stayed sullen for a bit then unreadable. "Arlene wouldn't like it. They seemed to get on just fine."

"What now?" Otis asked.

"Its like having choclate cake in front of you and not being able to eat it. I mean we have great information but we just can not use it. It's just as good as attacking the witch. And you my friends," he waved his hand at us and rolled his eyes "won't let us do that. You know,I am beta of this pack and without the alpha's presence I call the shots." He said matter of factly.

Otis scoffed and made a body shift. "You are such a fool Mes."

I chuckled a little.

"Ah I'm glad to see I can put a smile on that face alpha." Otis said praising himself physically. Let Otis be Otis.

Mesalla stared at Otis with an exaggerated you-don't-know-what-you-are-saying stare. "I don't even know how you are third in command."

"Mesalla you may be a beta but we have Roman. He is her mate and an alpha. Our alpha too. Get that through your cheese skull." Otis retorted looking Mesalla in the eye.

Mesalla groaned. "Cheese skull?" He asked in utter shock.

I grinned inwardly.

"Well.... ." Otis hesitated evaluating his previous words. "Yes." He scoffed looking away. "Cheese bruh."

"Shut up will you." I told them both. "Will someone atleast find Ridge? He's been gone for over three hours."

"Make that over four." Mesalla said in a thoughtful note.

"He take anyone?" I asked.

"No. He said his parents were giving him grief and he needed a breather so he mentioned he would use the chance to go looking." Otis replied fairly.

"Okay. I will go shower, rest for an hour then go for my run. Look for something new." I said getting up. I felt drained physically. My body was literally quivering inwardly.
