An Alpha Story

Chapter 11

When I seemed to gain consciousness,I tried hard to open my eyes slowly. I must have been sedated but I have never heard of a drug that could knock out a wolf that quick. And probably for long,even though I didn't know how long I had been out.

When I eventually opened my eyes, I had to squint them a little because the room I happened to be in was white everyhwere. When finally my eyes adjusted to the lighting,I saw that I was sitting on a chair and locked in chains that ran all the way to the corners of the room. Both my hands and legs. Great! Now I had to turn into my wolf.

"You really should not try that." A beautiful sounding voice said to me.

Its like she was reading my mind but either way when I heard her say that,I realised instantly that I had been captured. "Took you long enough,"my wolf whispered like she could be heard.

I then looked up to see who or what was in front of me. If I thought Lenny was breathtaking,then I was wrong because in front of me was a really beautiful looking woman. Verdant type of green looking eyes,beautiful blond to more of gold looking hair straight down below her shoulders,a pale smooth looking skin like that of a new born. And when she got up,boy was she tall. Her face,matching her long legs and well curved body. Lenny must be slender compared to this lady in front of me. My marvelling deepened even more when she smiled at me,in amusement. She must be used to this. In my opinion,she looked about thirty years of age.

"I get that a lot." She said smiling.

I remained silent. Who was she?

"Nali is my name. I should assume your father told you about me." She went on with a smirk.

After she said that, I swear I wanted to wipe that smirk of her face so bad.

"You know, you my girl are very beautiful. Not even my own daughter compares. Hell,you should have been mine." She went on looking at me but beyond her eyes was a distant look. Like she was remembering something.

She had a daughter? That was news.

"You know? Your father was bringing you to me. I was so desperate to meet you and ofcourse your mother too. But that little alpha, Roman they call him?" She questioned herself and went on" He did the unthinkable. That was supposed to be my doing." She looked frustrated.

I on the other hand didn't understand what she was saying.

"What?" I asked breathlessly.

She laughed. Loudly. I grimaced at this action.

"Your father was not a great as you saw him you know? I had seen him,countless times weeks before you all turned rogue. He says he was protecting you but no my girl, he was bringing you to meet me." She said with a smirk.

"That is not true." I shouted.

"Whoa! Relax my girl. I won't bite.....yet." she laughed mercilessly.

"Your father moved on! I came back to your land after a year and he was married and expecting a pup." She was shouting now,literally. "He promised to stay by me for life. And one little lie from my father made him betray me. It made him marry that woman and have you." She stopped to breath.

"You should have been mine! I should have been the luna! And your father should have stayed with me and my pup!"

I was now really confused. "Why do you have to blame others for the mistake of your father?" I asked sounding like I was speaking to myself. She heard me though.

"Don't get me wrong my girl. That man paid his dues for what he did. In fact,that is how I started to form my pack. My people don't like that word but...yeah." She said smiling. "I walked into my land like I returned home. Like the prodigal child. I walked shamelessly to his room and snapped his neck......Oh how It felt,the thrill of it was just incredible."

This woman was crazy,like seriously?

"He did not see that coming though.hmmmm." she shrugged.

"Now listen here my girl. Your father was going to give you to me anyway so why not do it as his dying wish huh?

Surrender. Surrender the whole pack to me,the land,your people and yourself. And I promise you that everything will be fine. Failure to that my girl,you are starting a war that you will not win because I won't back down." She seemed deadly now. Terribly serious.

"I will have it all. The title of the Luna Alpha was meant for me and I will my girl,I will have it back." She went on.

"You are crazy," I shouted now "What do you want from us? Just go away."

She laughed loudly.

"You know,not only you my girl but that little mate of yours? Roman? Oh he has it coming for him. All I need is to get him to draw his father back to this country and I will strike." She smirked at her own words.

She now hit my face. I choked out crying.

She kept talking to me. Explaining why she was so bitter even though most of it was a blur but really her reasons were not good enough. All she had in her heart was hatred.

Things went black again. After about an hour or more,really I don't know what happened to me. When I woke up, I was in a car park. It took me time to recognise my environment but eventually I did.

I was at a mall. The one in the end side of the town. I was dressed in the clothes that I remember carrying in my backpack. The backpack was on my back too.

I started running,I don't know why. Then I saw a black car. One that I knew too well. Howcome?

Then suddenly it stopped and he walked out of the car. Running towards me with a wary face. Or more,a frightened expression.

He was right in front of me now "Arlene?baby? Are you alright? What happened?" Too many questions at once I was confused.

"Roman." I said breathlessly.

What was he doing here? What was going on.

"Are you alright baby?" He asked looking worried.

"I....." I stummered then broke down to tears.

He held me close. It felt right,to have his touch at this moment.

"I have you now. Don't cry baby. I have you." He said quietly into my ear while walking me to his car.

Once I was seated in the back seat of the car,- for my safety he said- Everything once again went black.

Roman

Arlene sent me a text message early this morning.

"Meet me at the end park mall at five o'clock. Arlene." It said.

I found it weird she sent me that message as early as four o'clock. Or that she even sent me a message. It didn't take me long to get here. She was at the boarder of her territory but the beginning of mine. It didn't matter now, if my mate wanted me I would fly to the ends of the earth to be with her.

I was here an hour late though but when I saw her,it looked like she just got here too because it was now six o'clock in the morning.

She looked so pale and so sad. Her eyes had bags under them and its like she had not been asleep one bit for a the whole night.

When she saw me,I felt hopeful because she never chased me,or pushed me away all she did was accept my embrace and cry helplessly.

What happened to her? Why did she call me here?

I drove her to the woods starting to enter her pack territory. I drove by but at some point in between I had to stop to ask directions to Arlene's house. The guy I asked got angry,like he recognised my face. His wolf was at bay, this worried me. Without wasting time I slowly opened the door of the car,got out and opened the door to the back seat to show him his alpha. He looked stunned.

"Have anything to say now?" I asked him feeling irritated by his previous attitude.

With that,he quickly joined me in the passengers seat and lead me to Arlene's house.

When I finally laid her in her bed,I kissed her forehead and waited anxiously knowing that when she woke up,she would reject me.
