Chapter 10

We got back to the tower. Tony was ready to fire. I parked in the garage and got out with my hands up. Have to play it cool.

Tony was headed towards me when Steve moved in front of me putting his hands up "it was my idea, Tony! She needed food."

He lowered his defenses. "My car. Really!?"

We giggled "sorry Tony it was just so pretty"

He rolled his eyes "yeah that's why it was tucked away!"

We all laughed. I walked to my room with Steve. It was silent. Damn. I opened my door and turned to face him "well this is me. I need to get out of this dress."

He nodded grabbed my hand and kissed it "until tomorrow."

I gripped his shirt and pulled him back to me kissing him hard. His hands explored every inch of my dress. He bit my bottom lip I moaned out. I heard James open his door "really? Her! Come on Steve."

He backed away clearing his throat. "Ok see you tomorrow." Steve went into his room.

I walked up to Barnes shoving my finger in his face. "What is your problem?! Just because your girl cheated doesn't mean you ruin it for everyone else."

He looked me up and down. I could tell he likes the dress. As if on cue "you looked nice tonight. Stop making out with my friend. I wouldn't oppose so much if you weren't one hundred percent." He slammed his door in my face.

I yelled back "always a pleasure robo man!" And ran quickly back to my room. Did he just compliment me? He's drunk.

I woke up to the sun shining in I hate the mornings. A soft knock came on the door. I already knew who it was. I opened the door. "Steve what can I do for ya?" I squinted.

It was James...He was turned away from me handing me his jacket? "Josie either put this on or get some damn clothes on!" I slammed the door. How could I forget I was naked...How?!

Mortified I slipped on leggings and a T-shirt I opened the door back up "what?!"

He turned frowning at me " Steve wants you to meet in the training room." With that, he left. Awesome.

I got into a sports bra and shorts Nike set. I threw on my all-white Air Force ones. I put my hair into two braids and left for the gym. I was on edge for some reason. I pushed it aside.

I walked in and found the captain alone I smiled. "Hey, cap! Waiting for little ol me?"

He smiled "just the girl I wanted to see." I got into the ring and walked into his arms. He bent down and kissed me. It was so sweet. I felt his hand trail up to my upper arm and then he flipped me.

I hit my head hard on the ring floor. My vision went out and when it came back in I was a different person. I was hydra.

He came over kneeling by me "oh god Josie too rough I'm so sor.."

I punched him causing him to fly out of the ring. I pushed off my hands and landed on my feet. I was glowing red.

Steve stood up with his hands up "Josie it's Steve... I am so sorry." I shot at him and he dodged. I moved closer to the edge of the ring I was going to get out when a metal arm grabbed my neck.

I reached both hands behind me and shot him with fire. He fell out of the ring yelling out. I smiled at the pain he felt. I saw he had knives
On him the very weapon I love.

I set my sights on him. I walked over and started to attack him. Punch after punch. I ducked missing a punch and sliding my hand taking a knife without him knowing I spun out of his range and kicked him across the room.

I turned to Steve he was my target. I ran at him with the knife hidden in the back of my
Shorts. While running at him his hands were up. I punched him he wasn't fighting back?

He looked up at me "I can do this all day Josie." I lifted him upholding him in the air with one hand. I pulled out the knife and shoved it right into his stomach. I twisted it feeling his insides around my knife I pulled it out and dropped him to the floor "hail hydra."

I ran out with both men unconscious. I got to the garage. I saw a superbike with the keys in it already. How dumb are these people? I started up the bike and someone threw a charge that shocked the bike keeping it from moving. I turned to see stark hovering "hey let's talk this out?"

I shot fire at him causing one of his thrusters to give out "I'll take that as a no."

He came flying at me and I just missed his beam. Wanda came in out of nowhere and took over my mind all I heard from her was "my god the pain she feels. Tears streamed down her face. Everyone watching except Steve. "She's in turmoil. My god, I've never experienced pain like this." She collapsed not able to bear it anymore.

I stood up cackling "damaged goods sweets."

Thor spoke up. "You lifted the hammer, there's good in you. Josie, you are worthy!"

I put my hands to my head a piercing sound killed my eardrum. I fell to my knees. I looked
Up to see Natasha holding a device in her hand. While everyone turned to look at her I went invisible.

Everyone fanned out trying to find me. Tony locked down the whole tower. I had nowhere to go. I wandered into the training room and bumped into Steve. I materialized and he reached out hugging me "Josie please.."

I collapsed into his arms. Fuck. Darkness.
