Chapter 2

What is with me and hospital beds? I wake up strapped to a clear table? Almost like glass. I hear voices and shut my eyes as if I'm sleeping. " Tony when will Jarvis be done running tests. We need answers as to what they did to her. Or what she even is."

"I know but Jarvis can only work so fast. She's knocked out thanks to robocop"

"Me?! Um, I saved all your asses! If I didn't we wouldn't have her here and she would still be a large threat!"

"Ok Bucky calm down. Fighting Mr. know-it-all isn't going to get us anywhere. Let's take five and meet back up here to see if there is any progress."
"Fine."
"Ok."

Ha, what a bunch of dumb asses. Who are these amateurs anyway? Dummy's pulled one over on me but I have the upper hand. Haven't even used my special party tricks boys. Wanna see something cool? Concentrating on keeping my power under control I zoned in on my fingertips. I channeled my firepower to my hands to melt the straps away. Being as still as possible I assessed the room. The exit was only to my left. Cameras are posted in every corner, so no blind spot. Not an issue. Alright, boys let's dance!

I sent power to all sections of my body and went invisible. I was already out of the room and in the hall before the alarm went off. Some robot was talking over saying missing person. How lame. Who the fuck are these jokers?

Whatever I don't have time for this I need to get back to hydra ASAP to heal Zane! FUCK. Zane. How long have I been gone? Can't think about that now. I know he's looking for me I am too valuable. Walking down the stairs as everyone frantically ran around looking for me. It took everything in me not to giggle. What a bunch of sissy's. And then bam I was floating in a red bubble.

Still, invisible everyone was confused. Then this witch bitch took my defense down. Must admit it was super impressive. Well almost. Who is this chick? Maybe we could have been friends but sorry sweetheart.

I smile at everyone. "What's up?! Sorry guys it was so nice to be here but if you'll excuse me.." I hold my hands out to the red light closing my eyes and focusing all my energy.

The red turns blue and I land on the ground in a superhero pose. Cheesy I know, but come on these guys?? Are they for real? Anyway, the witchy lady falls back unconscious thanks to me. And I light up blue with electricity pulsing all over me. "It was really nice being here, see ya later!"

I throw my fist into the ground causing an earthquake. They all lose balance and fall back. It took me a while but I finally got out to the garage and steal someone's Audi. Ugly color matte-red? Yuck. Whoever's car this is must be flashy. Typical.

I get within 2 miles of the hydra emergency base. I ditch the car in the bushes and run the rest of the way. I reach the gate "der Snack Kommt nachts raus" (the snake comes out at night). The steal door moves so slow to open and I'm met with Racheal the fangirl. " Josie! Omg, it's you! Zane is in critical condition he needs you now!"

I was already running when she said, Zane. I was made to not have emotion or any attachments at all so I try not to show my attachment to Zane. If they ever found out I would be shut down. Sounds fun right! Fucking hydra. Anyway, I reached Zane down a dark hallway to what looks like a prison cell. I punch in the code and see Zane laying in one of the medical beds. "Hey old timer, heard you need my awesome assistance?"

Zane looked at me shocked "how did you get back here? I mean I had no doubt but those were the avengers that took you... How did you get away?"

"Those were the big bad avengers. How lame. They underestimated me. No one knew what powers I had they thought I was just another winter solider." I walked over and sat next to Zane. "So you want full blast or are we taking it easy this time?"

Zane looked at me with uncertainty "well Josie I'm not sure you can save me this time. My body is shutting down it's been too long from when I was injured." We don't exactly have doctors hidden in our camp. All they could do until I got here was a patch and pray. I have healing powers if that was evident to you yet. " let me do full blast."

Zane moved uncomfortably in the bed "Josie, please. You would be wasting your energy." He starts coughing blood up. "Thompson is going to take it from here." Furry building up in me "THOMPSON?! THOMPSON?! Are you joking?" I started to burn. Literally, my body was burning I activated fire all over my body pacing. Zane spoke up between coughs "Josie, please. You are acting out of character. You don't have any attachments to anyone." For the first time, I felt panic. Fangirl Rachael hit the sprinklers cooling me off although now I was steaming. Thanks boo.

I grab Zane's hand confirming I had formed an attachment. " Zane this isn't fair. I will kill whoever did this. Tell me. Send me on a revenge mission." Tears in his eyes he says "you have been like a daughter to me. For you, I grant you this revenge mission." He squeezes my hand and then let's go. He snaps his fingers "Josie hydra needs you." I go lifeless and reply "Hail Hydra"

Zane continues " Your mission...eliminate the avengers." Without another word I turned around and walked out of the room closing the door while Zane died. Alone.
