Chapter 37

I woke up the next morning feeling sick as fuck. I forgot to eat yesterday. I always do this to myself. I walked into the bathroom leaving Bucky asleep in the bed. My bag was across from me open Bucky set it up on a luggage rack. I noticed a box inside with a note. I opened the note:

Josie,
Just in case! Let me know what happens when you get back!

I was so confused. It was a solid white box. With a little red bow. I took the bow off and opened it. I immediately dropped it. No fucking way. I picked it up shaking .. fuck. I took one out and read the directions I've never fucking done one but perfect timing I had to pee.

I did what the directions said and set the stick on the counter. I haven't had a period in a month. Shit shit shit. I already knew what it was going to say. The question was am I ok with that..? No. I don't want to be pregnant. I am not ready for kids. Can you imagine an assassin as a mom? No? Me either. It just doesn't work with my lifestyle. I just found Bucky I just started working on myself how can I take care of a baby while still taking care of me? Call me selfish but this girl wants to see the world.

The test beeped and I looked: pregnant. I knew it. I grabbed it debating on whether to tell him or not. What if he leaves.. what if he doesn't want to be a dad? Wait you don't want this baby anyway so none of this matters. I'll just hide the test in my bag and not tell him. As soon as I get back to the tower I'll get an abortion. We don't need the stress.

"Hey you have been in there Swahili you ok? Can I get you something?" He had worry and concern laced in his voice. I shoved the test back in the wrapper and put it in my bag under some lingerie.

"Yeah I'm peachy! Coming out." I slide the door "what's for breakfast I'm starving!"

He smiled at me "you're mine sooo I'm not sure what you're having."

God he looked like a little kid all excited and happy to see me "funny, I was thinking actual food like eggs?"

He frowned "I wasn't joking.. spread your legs I'm starving."

I opened my eyes wide "are you serious or.."

He busted out laughing "Jo, sometimes I wonder."

I rolled my eyes and punched his arm "rude!"

He walked into the kitchen pulling things out of the fridge "want to help or admire the view?"

I bit my bottom lip. He was naked bending over in the fridge. I was so turned on I was thinking maybe his first offer wasn't so bad right now. I snapped back to reality "I'll help! We should put robes on though wouldn't want to burn the goods."

He laughed "of course not."

I came back from the bathroom with robes he was already starting on omelets. He cut mushrooms, peppers, fresh tomatoes diced, and parsley chopped. He had a block of cheese out that he pointed to while slipping on the robe "shred this please babygirl?"

I froze. That's a new one. I like it. I quickly moved to the grater and shredded cheese. He looked way to hot cooking. He flipped and made two perfect omelets with bacon and home fries on the sides. I stared in awe "damn, if killing or saving the world don't work you can fall back on your skills as a chef.."

He looked at me "thank you babygirl" and kissed my head. Mmm I'm melting.

We sat outside with our feet dangling off the edge. The food was fucking amazing! Orgasm in your mouth type of food. Bucky took my plate and went in side. I thought he would be back quick but I leaned back seeing him doing the dishes?! Why is he so perfect?

I trailed off thinking of the test I took earlier. I can't believe it was positive. I can't believe I'm growing a human in me. Oh shit! This thing might not even be human. I have to abort ASAP!

Just then I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped. I turned to a confused Bucky "you ok? It's just us in the middle of nowhere in a tree house hidden from the world.. what we're you thinking about?"

I hesitated he has a right to know. Fuck. I got up "I have to show you something. Can you just wait out here until I'm ready?"

"I don't like the sound of that."

I laughed "trust me?"

He nodded. I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. I walked to my bag and started at the lingerie that hid my massive secret. Shit.

I could see him pacing by the door. He must of finally sat down somewhere. Well it's now or never Josie. I slide the door open expecting to see him but I didn't.

I walked out to him in bed laying on his arms behind his head propped up on a pillow. He was gazing out the window. I walked over to him with my hands behind my back. He smiled at me and realized I looked weird. "What's behind your back weirdo?" His faces changed to shock "I am NOT trying some weird sex toy for my butt! Absolutely not!"

I laughed so fucking hard. "Damn Bucky have a dark past?" He licked his dry lips shaking his head. I walked over and got into bed straddling him. He tried to reach behind me and I shot him a look. He put his hands up in defeat. "Bucky. I love you that will never change it hasn't changed and I can't see it changing."

His eyes got wide "are you proposing too?!"

I rolled my eyes "Bucky Umm here." I slowly handed him the stick.

He looked at me funny "what is this?" I flipped it in his hands and he made a funny face at me before looking down at it. His face fell from a smile to a straight face. He blinked at it like a crazy person. He looked up at me I raised my hands "ok hear me out... I know it's fast as fuck. I know this is crazy.. but I'm going to get an abortion.."

He pushed me off him and stood up pacing. He looked furious? Does that mean he agrees like he's mad I'm pregnant or mad I said abort.

"Josie, I've always wanted to be a dad.. I'm 106. I'm ready. God you put me in a rough spot because I want this baby beyond comprehension but it's your body your choice. Fuck.." His face fell and he started to tear up he wouldn't even look at me "I think we should head back within the hour. I need time alone. The women I love wants to get rid of a baby we created out of that love. I just can't be ok with this right now."
