"WHY WAS IT SO HARD TO CONVINCE YOU?"

"Do you have time to come set up during... Friday morning?"
"I might," I winced, hitting the nib of my pen on the paper, the ink splaying slightly as I bit my lip. "Have we already gotten the last pieces of decor for the hall?"
"We did," One of my classmates mentioned, causing me to nod.
"Okay, then—I can come set up on Friday," I pointed at the crooked banner, the one that wrote above "Hope you had a great Freshman Year!"
"That's a bit crooked. We have to make sure we win that award—or else people will make fun of us."
"I know, right?" One of my female classmates laughed, covering her mouth in an attempt to stifle her laughter. "If we don't get this, we'll be called one of the worst freshman classes of 2013."
I shook my head, chuckling to myself. "Don't forget to make sure the tablecloths for the cake and treats are lilac. That's our representative color!"
"Already on it!" Someone else mentioned, perking up with one of the tablecloths wrapped around his head like a headscarf. "How do I look, Yihwa!?" We all laughed at the boy's attempt to impress us, my female classmate, Yena, pointing at him.
"You look so stupid!" She laughed, jogging over to help her friend.
"I'm done~" Beomgyu stuck his head in the window, kissing me on the cheek as everyone faked a gag. "What do we have left, home-room decor leader?"
I hummed in approval, looking down the list. "Right. How's the cake and cookies doing? Is the baking team doing well?"
Taehyun joined in, entering the classroom with a soft hiss and a disapproving shake of his head. "Not really—the baking process isn't going as smooth as they thought. The cookies are too... crumbly—if that's the word."
"Agh, I told them to use brown sugar!" I frowned, slamming the clipboard into Beomgyu's chest. The boy groaned, holding it to his heart as he dramatically fell back. "Go remind them to make a new batch—and tell them to use BROWN SUGAR this time!"
