Chapter 25

It has been a few days since my dream. Luckily, I haven't had any other ones.

"Brittany! Nate! Come upstairs!", Patrick yells from the top of the stairs. "That's the first in a long time..", Nate mumbles quietly and I chuckle.

We walk upstairs to see Patrick smiling at us. It wasn't a normal smile, it was a sad and hopeful smile. "Follow me please." He guides us to a TV. "Play it"

"A news update featuring the daughter of Pete Wentz. Brittany Wentz, as most of us know was adopted by the popular band Fall out Boy. Recently, her old parents were on the move to find her.", I stared at the tv as the reporter talked. "Her old parents were convicted of their crimes of murder and later arrested. They were trying to get Brittany's new family and adopted brother, Nate. That's it for this news story. If you have any questions go onto our website", Pete turns the TV off.

I stare at the now turned off screen as Nate hugs me tightly. "T-they were trying to kill us! They wanted to kill us!", I scream loudly. "They wanted to kill me!" Nate lets go of me and backs away. Patrick and Pete approach me, and try to calm me down.

"T-they are still alive. They are going to get me. They will find me...", I stutter out words until they become words that aren't understandable.

Patrick hugs me tightly and looks at Pete. "Let me take her to her room", he murmurs to him. "Alright"

Patrick picks me up and begins to walk upstairs. "Brittany. Trust me, we will not let anything happen to you. We will never let you get hurt. We love you so much."

I nod and tears begin to fall down my face. I bury my face into his chest and close my eyes. "You are one of the best family members I've ever had", I tell him. He chuckles and lays be down on my bed. "I know I am."

He hugs me again then begins to walk out of my room. "Goodnight Patrick.."
"Goodnight Brittany. Love you"

A/n
So here ya go! It's kind of short. And I'm sorry about that. I decided to kind of build up a bit more of a family relationship between Patrick and Brittany. They are actually the closest to each other. Even though Nate and her are also close, Patrick and her are closer.
