Chapter 43

Patrick and I walked around the store, buying random things that we thought we may need. He could tell something was wrong. "Hey. Brittany. What's wrong...?" I looked at him for a moment and smiled, "Nothing! I'm perfectly fine!" He gave me a face of 'I know you are lying' but gave up asking. Or so I thought.

"You got into a fight with Nate, didn't you.", he glanced at me momentarily before looking back at the books and manga in front of us. I sigh and nod slowly. "Y-yeah.." He nudges towards the books. "Grab a few. I'll buy you some." I look at them before grabbing a box set of the full Maze Runner series, 3 of the Attack on Titan mangas, 2 of the Hetalia, 2 of the Ouran High School Host Club, and The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire. "I said a few!!", he exclaims while laughing. I smile at him and he ruffles my hair.

"Now tell me what you fought over." I went to grab my phone before I realized we were in public and showing him this right now means that someone could be watching. Such as Alessia or Sara. "I'll tell you when we get to the car." He nodded, and I began walking to the albums. I went to grab Death of a Bachelor before Patrick swatted at my hand. "No. Brendon can totally give you one for free. Actually. I could make him perform a song from it. You do not want to spend the money on it.

At that moment I realized, Patrick knew Brendon Urie.  It took me a moment to react. But soon enough, I had a huge grin and I was staring at him with puppy dog eyes. "Really!" He nodded, "Yes. Now c'mon, let's go check out and leave. This place is full of humans."

Soon enough we were outside of the rather large store, and in the car. I grabbed my phone and handed it to him. "What?", he asked. "You wanted to know what we fought over. So here." He read through the messages, then looked at me. "Let me guess. He said something about the part where it says 'You should listen to Nate' or whatever. And he got angry when you didn't agree." I nodded, and this is why Patrick is my favorite. Patrick playfully punches my arm, "Well if these people text you again. Tell me. I'll beat them up for you!" He grins and starts to drive.

Once we get home, we can tell something is wrong. I slowly get out of the car. Lin runs up to me, "Brittany!! They took Nate! Some girl with purple hair! And then another girl named Sara!" My eyes widened and I run inside. "Nate?!" Oliver looks at me, "He's gone." I start to panic, "N-no!" My vision begins to blur and I run to his room. "Nate!!!" He wasn't there, so I run to mine. But, he wasn't there either. Soon, my vision is black and I pass out.

Nate's p.o.v. (Ooohhh)

I suddenly wake up and look around. I try to move my arms, but they are tied to a chair. I sigh and look at a door that is metal.

The door opens, and then a girl with long blue and purple hair walks in. I glare at her. Lunar. "Let me go." She shakes her head and stands in front of me. "Ahaha. You are so funny. You actually think that I'll free you?" Another girl walks in. She has black hair, I recognise her from a picture Brittany showed me, Sara. Next a girl with obviously bleached blonde hair, Alessia. "Why did you take me? Why not Brittany?"

Alessia stands next to Lunar, "Easy. We take you, she will come to find you. She cares so much about her. 'Brother'. She will most likely bring Patrick or Lina with her. We can easily get rid of those two. Basically, we can trap her and everyone she loves. Kill them all in front of her, then keep her locked up in the same chair you are in." Sara laughs and nods, "Yep. We warned her. Several times. We told her to listen to you. And she didn't. How rude of her. You deserve to be listened to!"

Lunar goes behind my chair and grabs the rope that is keeping me restrained to the chair. "Maybe you should join us.", Alessia suggests. "We would listen to you. And obey what you say. We wouldn't take advantage of you like Brittany has. All you have to do is agree, we will set you free. You can go back to Brittany. Act like you never met us, send us updates on what she is doing. It's all pretty simple.", Sara adds on to what Alessia said.

Lunar flicks out a switchblade and cuts at the rope. "No. I won't join you freaks." Lunar cuts my hand and I wince. "Oops.", she giggles then goes back to the rope. Alessia glares at me and grabs her phone and takes a picture. Then, I hear the sound of a text message being sent. "Brittany knows you are tied up now. I suggest you agree with us before you die."

But before I can respond, she gets a ray of electric shot to her back.

Brittany's p.o.v.

I wake up hours later with a pounding headache. For a moment, I forget why I passed out in the first place. But soon, I remember. I look at my phone and pick it up. "One text message... From who though...?" I open the message to see a photo of Nate tied up in a dark metal room. So it's true. He was taken.

I stand up and change into dark clothes. "I need to blend in with the darkness...", I mumble. I quickly run outside. It's around midnight, and it's probably dangerous outside. Suddenly someone is next to me. "You are not leaving alone.", a familiar British accent says. "Ollie. You have to let me go.", I look at him. His blue and pink eyes seem to be glowing. "No."

My mind powers have been gone for a while. But all of a sudden, they come back. My head is blurry and I am holding onto Oliver with a tight grip. It takes a moment for me to regain my strength to properly function. "Are you okay?" I nod quickly and look at him, 'Worried'
"You got the deduction powers back." I nod again and blink a few times. "Yes. And you need to stop being so worried. I'm okay." I look away from him and start to run to a old factory.

Oliver follows, 'determined' I need to get used to this. I get to the factory and open the door. "Nate!?", Oliver yells. I glare at him and punch him. "You idiot!!", I whisper-yell at him. He winces and I walk away to look for Nate. I open a few doors and I don't see him. I almost give up until a bright flash of light comes from a corridor and I run to it.

Nate's p.o.v. (based off of before Brittany woke up. Basically a continue of his last one)

I am shocked. Alessia falls down, and behind her is someone who I am surprised to see. Lina. Her eyes are a dark red and she burns the rope surrounding me. I quickly run to the corner of the room.

She walks to Sara, then lifts her up with telekinesis. Sara screams loudly, but is quickly shut up when Lina throws her against a wall.
Lastly, and probably the worst, Lunar. Lina growls at her, then sends a large ball of fire at her. Lunar screams in agony as she burns. "You deserve this!!", Lina angrily yells. Next, water is thrown at her. "You killed my family!!" Then she is electrocuted. "Lin calm down!", I say. Lina glares at me, "No." Lunar falls to the ground, unconscious.

Out of nowhere. A blast of bright white lights blind me, and I pass out.
