"Hi pretty girl." He was grinning from ear to ear, like he had accomplished something. That's when I knew he knew about what I said.

"Hi golden boy." I scoffed a bit, liking the way that our personalities still meshed, in a never awkward way.

He held out his hand, palm facing up. I looked at it, before grabbing it and letting him pull me up. I dusted off my pants, looking up at him still.

He was wearing a white graphic tee with black workout shorts. His baseball cap had the words:
"I ❤️ HOT MOMS" embroidered on the front.

His face honestly hadn't changed, his hair was a bit longer, and he had a small amount of stubble growing on his chin. This man is beautiful.

We looked at each other for a few seconds, studying each other's faces. I broke the silence, "So... you wanna talk?" He nodded.

We walked along the side of the park, keeping strides. "Listen El, I need you back in my life. I fucked up... sooo bad. And I understand if you never forgive me, but I know it would be a mistake not to try us again."

He was right. We were great together. But could I trust him? Would he hurt me again? Honestly, I don't know. But I kind of want to try anyway.

"Vinnie... your right. It took me a while to realize it. You fucked up bad. But I need to at least try us again. Because I think about you all the time, and I meant what I said that day... and I know you did too."

"What- what day are you talking about?" He asked quietly. Not wanting to interrupt me.

"That day I went to your house... and we talked in your room..."

I really didn't want to say it again. Not after what happened last time.

"Ella... I have no idea what you're talking about."

"That I. Fuck."

"CARTER JUST SAY IT." His voice was forceful and to the point.

"I LOVE YOU DUMBASS."

At this point we had stopped walking, and were just screaming at each other in the parking lot.

He just stood there. Smiling. Like a little bitch.

"You still love me Carter?" He was grinning.

I rolled my eyes, my face turned away from his. "yes."

He took his finger, and put it under my chin. Tilting my face up towards his.

"I love you too."
