Kyung Mi POV

Nervous. This word is not at all enough to describe what I am feeling at the moment. I don't even feel this nervous on result's day. And, I am like a truck filled with nervousness on those days. So, the nervousness I am feeling today is beyond human comprehension.

It's fifteen minutes until I officially meet Jungkook and I'm not ready! Why am I not ready yet you might ask? Well, the blame goes to my dearest cousin.

Yes, Hoseok. When I told him I was meeting Jungkook today, he started dancing around shouting for a party. "A party for what?" was what I had asked and he had replied saying, "Your love life is saved. It's definitely something we have to party about."

The result of that statement was him and I drinking alcohol and doing life talks. That's our normal cousin's activity. No judgements about that.

But, I ended up sleeping in until mid day and also forgot that I was supposed to meet Jungkook. Just now when I received a text from Jaehwa asking what I was about to wear is when I remembered about meeting him.

Now, I have ten minutes to get ready and five minutes to run to the café which is luckily near my apartment. I pick the first decent outfit I see in my closet and dash to the bathroom to change into it.

It turns out I picked up a white button up shirt and my favourite pair of pants. I could work with those. I quickly put them on and started applying sunscreen to my face.

I applied on a bit of chap stick and I was ready to go

I applied on a bit of chap stick and I was ready to go. Makeup is a hassle I don't bother with. I put my hair in a half-up half-down style and after wearing a pair of comfy shoes, I walk out of my apartment.

I take quick steps while walking to the café and then the real nerves about meeting him kick in. We've been texting for months and we're about to meet face to face now.

It feels surreal. I get inside the cafe and look around. I don't see anyone whose head looks like a coconut, so I walk to a table near the window and sit down waiting for him, thanking Jaehwa mentally for distracting him as per my request.

Just a minute later, the bell rings indicating the entrance of another customer and I turn to see Jungkook entering the café. He looks around trying to find me and I wave my hands.

He sees me waving my hands and smiles. I could figure out he was smiling behind that mask he was wearing because of how his eyes smiled. My heart melted at that sight.

He removes his mask and walks towards the table. "Sorry, I made you wait. Noona needed something, so I got late trying to get that for her."

"It's totally fine. I reached here just a minute before you." I smile at him and he nods. "You look beautiful by the way." I feel a blush rising to my cheeks and look down unable to stop the smile forming.

"You look handsome yourself. A bit cuter than the last time I saw you." He laughs at that with his cheeks dusted pink like mine. "That was definitely a cute moment, wasn't it?"

"Of course, it was. Slipping on a banana peel is the cutest sight." I laugh along with him; nervousness slowly fading away. "Ah, you're you."

"And you're you."

We both spend quite some time talking about anything and everything. It doesn't take long for us to be comfortable in each other's presence. It feels like we've known each other since forever.

"And can you believe that he was ranting about how cute Yoongi is the entire night? I did not get a chance to speak and he had said before that I was the who could rant to him, like-" , I cut off my words when I see that Jungkook's shoe lace was untied.

We both had left the café and were walking around the park nearby. I get down and tie his shoe laces. He looks at me confused as to why I did that and, "Don't want you falling for someone else, even if it's because of your shoe laces and not banana peel," is what I reply with.

He chuckles and puts his arm around my shoulders; pulling me close to him and I wrap my arm around his waist.
"You have to teach me these lines Mimi. Not ones like the fart one though."

"Oh, c'mon. That one was so good." I roll my eyes when he shakes his head. "It's weird. It's like saying something along the lines of, 'is your dad a smuggler? cause you look like a steal.'"

"Oh, you're learning. That one would definitely work." He looks so done after I say that and I laugh at his look of disapproval. That is how we spend our whole day.

He decides to accompany me to my apartment before leaving for his. We walk under the twinkling stars that dust the serene night sky; holding hands and smiles on both of our faces.

"And, this is where we part." I say to him when we reach my apartment. "Parting is such a sweet sorrow." He sighs taking both my hands in his and we stare at each other for a while.

I hug him for the last time for the day and probably the thirtieth time also. "See you soon, Jungkook." I peck him on the cheek and quickly get inside my apartment; leaving him with a dumbfounded look on his face.

My heart leaps up when my phone pings to indicate that he sent a message.
