Pangalawang araw ng bagong taon, nag-almusal ako ng kilig.

Nag-message sa akin si Abreu nang mga 6AM na umuwi na raw siya kasi kailangan na raw niyang umuwi. She just told me that I was sleepy so she didn't woke me up... And to just see each other at work.

Sa wakas, hindi ako papasok sa Aussie na masama 'yung loob. Next week babalik na ako sa dating schedule ko... Pero ayos lang. Maayos narin naman. Sana...

The smile on my face never washed off even until I reached Aussie. Jane was already there, making the orders.

"Good morning," she greeted me when I went behind the counter. "Nasa stock room si Abreu."

"Kakapasok lang?" I asked.

"Hindi. Marami siyang kukuhanin sa ref. Tulungan mo," she said and I just nodded before going inside the stock room.

Napatingin siya sa direksyon ko. Nawala 'yung pagka-seryoso niya sa mukha niya at napalitan ng ngiti. Ang ganda.

"Good morning," she greeted me.

I bit my lower lip before walking towards her. Sinunod niya ng tingin lahat ng galaw ko hanggang sa mayakap ko siya. Mahina siyang natawa.

"I never got to hug you because you left already," I said. After that kiss and that door thingy, she already left my room... And then I didn't see her after that because she already went home.

"I told them that you tripped kaya kumalabog 'yung pinto," she said with a soft laugh before hugging me back.

Natawa ako. I stepped a couple of inches away from her before holding her chin and kissed her. Hindi pa ata kami nakaka-sampung segundo ay lumayo na siya. Nakapikit parin ako nang mag-hiwalay na 'yung mga labi namin.

"Help me here," she said. I pursed my lips and nodded. "Oh, wait," she said before taking a tissue out from her bag and gave it to me. She pointed my lips and said, "your lips is kinda glossy..."

"Kasalanan 'to ng lip gloss mo," I said and wiped my lips. She just watched me as the smile never left her face.

She gave me the are-you-done look and I nodded. I opened the door for her since she was holding two boxes of the cake. Sumunod na ako habang dala-dala naman 'yung tatlo.

"Ang tagal, ha..." Jane said, wincing before taking the other box. I helped them remove the cake out of the box and put it on the refrigerated show case.

Abreu and I didn't really talked a lot since we're both busy. But we did glance at each other a lot. Siguro iniisip nina Rain at Jane na ang pangit parin ng araw ko kasi 'yung tingin nila sa akin ay animo'y naawa sila sa tuwing nahuhuli nila akong naka-tingin kay Abreu.

"Ayos lang 'yan," Rain told me as she pat my shoulder. She was pouting and I can't tell if she's teasing me or she really feels sorry for me. "Himala, wala raw humatid... Atsaka anong oras na," she paused and looked at her watch. "Wala pang nagdadala ng pagkain."

Right. I wonder what happened to him... After she kissed Abreu and also confessed to her... Did she just straight up and rejected him?

"Galaw-galaw, Gael..." natatawang bulong pa niya. Natawa na lang ako sa kaniya. Ginawa ko na. Tapos sa stock room pa niya.

I glanced at her again as she put sliced strawberries around the ice cream before I went inside the stock room to get more soap.

Napatingin ako sa table nang makarinig ng ring ng cellphone. It was from Abreu's phone and Aldrin was calling.

Sinilip ko muna siya para makita kung wala na ba siyang ginagawa bago siya tawagin. "Abreu," I called her. She looked at me and so is Rain and Jane who looked shock that I just called her. Saka ko lang napagtanto na parang mga nakaraan pa simula nung tinawag ko 'yung pangalan niya dahil sa pinag-halong inis, selos at tampo na nararamdaman ko. "Tumatawag Kuya mo..."
