"Huy!" Nakangiti kong sabi nang buksan ko 'yung pinto. Grabe, naninibago ako sa itsura niya. Parang mas lalo siyang pumuti at kuminis. Naka itim siyang ripped jeans, puting t-shirt tapos denim jacket. Pero kahit gaano pa siya kamukhang mabait ngayon, kinakabahan parin ako. "Nandito ka na?! Ba't wala kang pasabi?"

Ang saya-saya nung boses ko at kita rin sa itsura ko kung gaano ako kasaya at nabigla na nandito na siya sa Pilipinas. Pero 'yung tibok ng puso ko grabe na 'yung kaba.

"Si Abreu?" Seryosong tanong niya.

Tumuro ako sa likod ko habang naka-tingin parin sa kaniya. "Nandiyan lang... Gusto mong pumasok?"

'Yung seryoso sa mukha at sa mg mata niya ay hindi nawala. Nakatingin lang siya sa akin hanggang sa makapasok na siya sa loob.

"Abreu!" He yelled as he looked around.

I pursed my lips and simply looked at the closed door of our room. Aldrin yelled her name again but she didn't opened the door nor even reply.

"Where the hell is she?!" He asked, annoyed before he sat on the couch. Naka-kunot lang 'yung noo niya habang nililibot 'yung paningin sa paligid.

"Gusto mo ba na ng ano... Tubig?" Tanong ko at napakamot sa ulo. I looked over the bedroom's door. I guess, she's still not ready to see Aldrin. And she's probably a little embarrassed. So, I'll just... Probably distract Aldrin.

Tinanguan niya lang ako. Lumapit kaagad ako sa ref at kumuha ng tubig doon.

"Asan kapatid ko?" Tanong niya ulit nang ilagay ko 'yung tubig sa coffee table.

I sat on the couch in-front of her before I shrugged. "She was surprised... I don't know where she went. Probably at the bathroom. Or... She went outside."

Natawa siya. "Outside? You think I'm some nine years old who'll believe your lies?"

I shrugged. "She was surprised! I don't know, she could've—"

He let out a small laugh. "What? She jumped off the balcony?"

I shrugged. "She could've took the fire exit," I said, pointing at the balcony. Tumingin siya doon habang nakakunot 'yung noo niya. Tinignan niya lang ako bago umiling at binaba 'yung baso ng tubig na naubos na niya.

"Abreu!" He yelled again. But when there's no Abreu appearance, he just shook his head while looking irritated. "What the hell she was wearing? Does she walk around your condo looking like that?"

Umiling ako. "Wala na siyang damit... Kakadating lang rin namin sa laundry kanina," I explained but his eyebrows were still furrowed. "I know what you're thinking... She's fully clothed! My shirt was just too big."

Ngumiwi lang siya sa sinabi ko at nagpatuloy sa paglibot ng paningin sa loob ng condo ko.

I just sat there in-front of him as I think of what I'll say next. I was about to speak when I saw him pick something up on the floor. I looked over the closed door of our bedroom when I Aldrin threw something to me.

"What—" Nanlaki 'yung mata ko nang makita na binato niya sa akin 'yung shorts ni Abreu pati 'yung panty.

"What the fuck were you guys doing before I came?!" Pasigaw niyang tanong. I can really see that he's not acting tough because he really looks mad. Furious. He looks furious!

"What—No! It's not what you think it is!" Sabi ko bigla at napa-tayo sa inuupuan kong couch nang bigla rin siyang tumayo.

"You made your word—Tangina, Gael?!"
