This chapter takes to long to write because it's in my 'notebook planner' lol.....
Chapter 14
12:34 am............................................................12:35 am. My sleepy eyes stare at the digital clock on my phone.
Why did he call then hang up?
After Troy called me and say 'Hey I miss you' to me, I called him 20 times and the voice mail I made for him always answer it.
Did he really mean it? He mean it! He mean it! Did he? I hope he mean it.
I spend nearly an hour thinking about Troy and what he said to me earlier until I fell fast asleep.
The next day I woke up 20 minutes before 1 p.m. I overslept. I slowly rose up from my bed, get dress and get a taxi.
The ride from the hotel to the club was full of Troy's voice, my brain become a broken record player keep repeating I Miss You in my head.
The taxi parked in front of my club. I quickly pay the driver and get out of the car, I walk into an alleyway that lead into the back door of the club.
There's a few man unloading boxes of different types of alcohol out from the truck. I saw Gigi 'the manager' on the door instructing the guys to where to put the boxes.
"Hey Gigi!" I called out, waving at her. Gigi is one of my closest employee of mine....
She skips towards me. “I’ve been waiting for you miss Potter hours ago."
"Sorry! I overslept and don't call me miss Potter it sounded like I'm an old lady who is miserable."
"Okay miss- I mean Alison." she said looking down...and she's very shy.
"So what's the problem here?" I asked.
"Let's talk in my office." she said walking inside and I followed her.
I look around the club and it's now more improve than the last time I'd been here. She opened her office door, let me in and close the door behind her while I sit on one of the chair, she then sit on the desk.
"So what's the problem?" I asked again.
"Well...er... There's been a fight happening."
I look at her, amaze. "So you make me drive for 6 hours just because of a fight, you make it sound like it's important, you might get an Oscar Award for that." I laugh. Gigi got easily nervous when there's a fight.
"Well... Me and the bouncer handle the other two fights very well but the other night...." she trailed off.
"What about the other night?" I asked and so glad that I came.
"There's another fight the other night. One of them really looks familiar and the other one brought a pocket knife with him, a bouncer try to calm both of them down but the guy with a knife stabbed the bouncer in the stomach. Poor Jerry."
“Was the one you said looks familiar; is he one of our VIPs?" I asked a little scared.
There’s a possibility that everyone is scared to even come here and drink and have fun anymore.
"Luckily no." she said.
She gets down from the desk and started talking about some papers.
"You need to sign some papers. There's an inspection on Wednesday and the inspector wanted you to be here."
"We need to hire more bouncers and do a body search." I suddenly suggested.
"I’ll take care of that."
Instead of going back to the hotel and go through some papers and be alone, instead I decided to help them set up the club for tonight.
At ten the club was pretty packed with people dancing and has a bottle or a glass on their hand.
I settled in on the corner of the room with a glass of cocktail, going through some important papers. On the corner of my eye I saw Gigi sit down across from me.
"Hey Al." Gigi touch my arm.
"Mmmm." I murmured in reply, without looking away from the papers.
"That's the guy I'm talking about." She whispered at me like there's someone listening in our conversation.
I finally look away from the papers I was reading and look at the direction to where she was pointing. She was pointing to a guy who has dark blonde hair and wearing a white polo shirt.
"He's been going here for nearly three weeks now. He won't leave until his drunk, he even fell asleep here a few times." she said.
She's right he does look familiar even from behind. I hear a chair being pulled back and I look up to see Gigi leaving.
"I'll leave you alone now, so you can finish what you're doing."
She disappears from the crowd while I get back to reading the papers. The thought of that familiar man sitting just a few feet away from me, distract me from what I'm supposed to be doing if he would only turn around so that I could see his face.
For ten minutes I've been trying to read and sign papers but never gotten into it because I think I know him like, I know him very well.
Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulders, soothing it softly, I was waiting for the flinch that normally my body would do whenever a stranger touch me but it never came.
A hot air passes by around my neck with the scent of alcohol in it.
"Hey baby." The voice said seductively and a little drunk.
I can't pin point the voice in my head, I don't know the vo
ice, and I don't recognize it. He remove his hands from my shoulders and he sit to where Gigi just sat before.
As soon as I saw his face, I froze. His dark blue eyes stare straight at me. He moves his hands across the table and hold mine. I stare right back at him. I'm suppose to pull my hands away from his, but I can't, I can't even move, I feel like I was glued there.
"Ali I Miss You." he nearly breaks down in front of me.
Troy's word rang back in to my ear. I finally have the strength to pull my hands away from his and look away.
"Ali, I'm so sorry, I'm really really sorry! I still love you, I'm in - ."
"Nick!" I interrupt his love speech for me. “Look Nick, I already move on." I said coldly. “And you’re married."
As soon as I said the word married. He looks away and run his hand through his hair.
“We didn't get married." He said sadly. “She left me in front of the altar."
"Oh!" It's the only word came out from my mouth.
"And told me that I'm not the father, it's someone else..." he trailed off, then he continue. " I love you Alison, I'll do anything for a second chance." He pleaded.
The sight of Nick in front of me, begging, was the sight I was waiting for a few months ago. But not today, not tomorrow and not forever anymore.
"I already forget about you, forget about everything we share." I said flatly at him.
"Is there someone else?" He asked, anger starts to appear in his face.
"Even though there's someone else you don't have the right to be angry." I said back angrily.
I gather all the papers from the table and stand up ready to walk away, but before I can walk away from him, he grab my arm and turn me around to face him.
"I can make you happy, just give me a second chance." he begged.
"You make me cry once; I won't let you make me cry again." I shake my arm off his grip and walk away.
Thanks x
