Chapter 15
A week has passed by and IT'S BORING! I spent those 7 days just signing a bunch of papers in my hotel room or I'm probably sitting on the corner of the club waiting for Wednesday.
Why Wednesday?! Why?! I cried inside me.
And to add more fuel to the loneliness' fire is a stalking ex-fiancé who followed you everywhere every time for the Whole. Entire. Week begging for a second chance which I wouldn’t give
I was at the club, in the toilet, looking at myself in the mirror. There's no sign of Nick today, finally! Some peace and quiet time.
I fix up my hair a little bit and went out. The music starts blaring again against my ear, you can hear the people’s voices talking and laughing over the music.
I stood straight in front of the women's toilet door, straightening my white dress before walking back to my spot.
But before I could step more than 4 steps, my mouth was covered with cold hands and my waist too, dragging me backwards involuntarily. I try to shout and asked for help against my covered mouth but it come out like I'm hamming some unknown song.
I was shoved hard against the wall; I squeeze my eyes shut as the pain travelled on my back. As I opened my eyes slowly, I saw the face of the person that listed first on my "I don't want to see" list and right now the only person listed on my list.
He put both of his hands on the wall, cornering me, he pressed his body against mine making it impossible to escape away from him.
I was about to open my mouth and shout at him when he crushed his lips on mine, forcing to capture my upper lip between his.
I close my mouth tightly. I put both of my hands on his chest and push him hard, he stumble a little bit but quickly regain his balance.
"What the hell Nick!" I screech at him.
No one could probably hear us because of the loud music and we're at the far corner where no one usually go.
"What did you that for?!" I yelled at him.
He put both of his hand against the wall again, just a few inches away from my face, cornering me again.
He look at my eyes then down to my lips and then back to my eyes, his cold breath brush softly around my face every time he breathe in.
"Because I told you I still love you." He murmured gently.
"And I don't." I replied quickly in a cold tone.
"Then why didn't you come to my wedding?" He asked curiously.
"You didn't come because you didn't want to see or hear me saying 'I do' to someone else." He answered his own question.
He was right! I don't want to see him with another women but that was two months ago already. Maybe if he's asking for a second chance two months back, I would have happily take him back without even explanation from him, but now? Not a chance.
"You know I kinda regret on not going to your wedding." He gives me a puzzled look.
"I missed the most epic scene of all times, your bride leaving you in front of the altar." I gave him an evil smile for that.
I give myself a pat on the back for such a wicked thing to say. He look at me, a little bit disappointed.
After what I said to him a silence was formed between us, he put down his hands on his sides then running them to his hair. I was froze to where I am, this should be the part where I escape, but I can't move right now, I've never seen him so sad, and this is the first time the lines on his forehead and the dark circles under his eyes caught my attention.
He step a few feet back away from me, he tuck both of his hands on his jeans' pocket and look at me.
"Just give me a chance to prove you that I love you or let's just try, if it doesn't work then I'll leave you alone, please." He pleaded.
His sad watery eyes look at mine searching for the answers.
"Who is he?" He asked, his tone never change, it's still sad.
"It's no one." I answered back.
"Then let's try." He pleads again.
"How many times should I told you, I already move on." I said patting his arms softly. "There like billions of girls just around you." I added.
"I love you though." He sighed, defeated.
He gave me a hug before squeezing through the crowd.
It's been a week since Alison left, I was sitting on the swing in the back porch, scrolling down through my inbox, and it’s all Alison's voice mail.
She bombards me with calls after that night I called her and I never had the strength to answer it because of what I say to her.
She said she'd be only gone for a week..........or more. It's been lonely here without her voice, echoing around the house.
I listened at the waves crashing gently on the sand, I look at the people who’s having a bonfire party next door, singing happily with the sound of guitar humming, melody.
Suddenly my phone starts vibrating against my hand and its starts playing the unfamiliar music. I look at the lighted up screen and it says Alison. I start to panic, my heart bits rapidly against my chest.
I let the phone vibrates against my plum, the sound continuously playing while I watch the screen blink and shows Alison's name until it stops and my surroundings calm again.
A few minutes passed in silence and my phone starts ringing again, I look at the caller ID and it's Alison again.
On the third ring I finally answered it with a nervous "Hello."
"Hey Troy how'd you been?" She asked loudly. I can hear people talking and music in her background and then suddenly gone.
"I'm f-fine."
"I'm coming back tomorrow night." She said happily.
"Really?!-- I mean what time?"
"I don't know yet." "But I'm just telling you this before you hit me with a baseball bat tomorrow night when I creep into the house." She laughs.
"I don't play ball."
"Good…...so yeah! See you tomorrow night." It's time to say goodbye.
"Tomorrow night." I repeated.
Then she hangs up. I was grinning ear to ear, I should've answered it in the first place to hear this good--No scratch that-- this awesome news earlier.
She coming back home, she's coming back home I sang enthusiastically. I feel like I was a five years old kid who's having an early Christmas present from Santa.
For the rest of the night I barely stop humming to myself she's coming back home repeatedly, I can't wait for tomorrow and my excitement won't make me sleep and nearly keep me awake all night until I fell fast asleep at 1:30 in the morning with a dried throat from humming all night and a smile glued to my face.
Thanks x
