September 1st finally arrived, and Shoyo's departure was mere hours away. The whole Hinata family woke up with the sun.

Shoyo had spent those early hours packing his trunk to the brim with his school supplies, clothes, a spare volleyball, etc.

Natsu had taken a liking instantly to Shori, and Shori seemed not to mind the hyper girl, but she had to say goodbye when her mother had dropped Natsu off at the unique neighbors.

Shoyo would not stand still on the way to Kings Cross station.
"Sho dear, we are going to be like an hour early. You can be patient for just a little longer." Shoyo's mother said, peering through the mirror
"I know, mom, but I'm so excited."
She just chuckled and focused on the road.

The two managed to find a trolley for his trunk and cage, surprisingly heavier than he expected.

The two had gotten there earlier than planned in case something unexpected occurred. Seeing platform 9, Shoyo started skipping with his mother catching up.

Shoyo now stood in between platforms 9 and 10. His mother looked inclined to say bye, but they both knew she could cross the threshold.

"I'm going to go, mom. You follow after me."

Shoyo counted to three in his head before launching into a slow sprint and closing his eyes. Shoyo would be lying if he said he wasn't scared; what happens if he runs into the wall.

Finally deeming it safe to open his eyes, he peaked at where he and his trolley ended up. In front of Shoyo stood a humongous, stunning, red train and hundreds of witches and wizards milling about. Above him, a sign read Platform 9 3/4.

Shoyo was instantly in love, and as his mom emerged from the tunnel, her expression read the same.

People holding brooms and owls flying above everyone's head was just the start of the magic. The clock read 10:25 am. Shoyo pulled his trolley to the conductor, who seemingly took it from him. It might have disappeared, but it was out of Shoyo's hands, so he ran back to his mother, who almost looked close to tears.

"I will have to leave soon, mom, but don't worry. I'll write a couple of times a month."

This made the dam break as his mom pulled him into a bone-crushing hug and whispered in his ear,
"Thank you, sweetie; I will miss you s-so much. Please be safe." She wiped her nose and let him go,
"Mom, you're going to have to pick Natsu up soon, so I am going to get on. I love you!"
"I love you too!" She yelled as Shoyo ran off to the train heading for the door.

The train inside was cozy with loads of compartments that held some kids. Shoyo didn't know who to join or if to join anyone at all. Walking for a couple of minutes, Shoyo pulled open an empty compartment and sat down, already bored with the lack of company. He wanted his spare volleyball, so he hunted down the conductor and grabbed it from his trunk.

He ran back to his compartment as the clock chimed 10:52 am. He began setting the ball to himself when the door pulled open, and he heard a familiar voice ask, "Can I join you?"

Shoyo finally looked up and almost gasped. It was Kageyama from the Sakanoshita store, "O-oh yea!" The boy went on the other side of Shoyo and put a small bag above the seat.

"You're from the Sakanoshita store!" Shoyo announced in the following silence,
"Yea, I go there. Who are you again?"

Shoyo's mouth automatically feels open. "Ah... You took my pork bun, and then you were rude about it."
"Oh well, okay, can we play with that volleyball?" Kageyama said, brushing off the earlier statement.

Shoyo just threw the volleyball to the boy, and they just chatted mainly with Kageyama replying very short or not at all.

Hours into the journey, their compartment door slid open to show two tallboys.

"Oh hey, Tadashi and Kei!"

Tadashi waved to Shoyo with a smile on his face, yet Kei's face remained blank.
"We just we're passing by, and I wanted to say hi."
"Our guys are playing in here?" Tsukishima asked in a monotone voice, grabbing the ball that fell on the floor.

Shoyo turned towards Tsukishima, who was now staring at Kageyama.
"What do you want?" Kageyama asked once he noticed the stare,
"You're Tobio Kageyama from the Kitagawa Quidditch team."
"Yea, what about it?"

Tsukishima just chuckled to himself before mocking, "A star player like you sitting with some peasant like this."
"So?" Kageyama started glaring at Tsukishima,
"That's the king, always angry at someone."
"Don't call me that." Kageyama ground out, clenching his jaw.
"Ha, I knew it. Rumor has it you lose your cool every time someone brings up your old nickname, but who wouldn't want to be King of the court, or should I say field. I mean, it suits you, your Highness."

'Your funeral, dude.' Shoyo thought of, seeing Kageyama's mood.

"What is your problem?" Kageyama yelled,

Tsukishima now walked closer to Kageyama, holding the ball out.
"You know, I saw you at the finals."
Kageyama's eyes widened for a second before Tsukishima continued,
"I still can't believe your teammates put up with all those selfish throws you threw for them; I know I wouldn't. Ohh, so that's why you're here. I bet they finally got sick of you."

With those words, Kageyama stood up and grabbed the collar of Tsukishima's shirt, just holding him there.
"Tsuki!" Tadashi said, concerned.

Tsukishima had a giant smirk on his face while Kageyama glared up at him. The ball fell on the floor with Kageyama's sudden action. The air was heavy with tension while the two stared at each other until Kageyama lifted the collar, letting go, and walked back to his seat, staring out the window.

'What the? I don't understand what's going on, but it's not normal for him not to say anything back to that jerk. Come on, Kageyama, get the last word like you always do.'

"We're leaving," Kageyama said out of the blue, slamming the compartment door closed. Tsukishima just picked the volleyball back up.
"What?! Wait." Shoyo exclaimed, surprised.
Tsukishima just watched Kageyama walk away, "Running off? Guess the king isn't a threat after all."

Shoyo's head whipped to the tall blond boy.
"I hope its majesty puts up more of a fight on the field." Tsukishima continued throwing the ball in the air.
Shoyo was fed up with the insults, so he jumped with all his might and flew over the tallboys head, grabbing the volleyball and landing on the other side of the compartment. Shoyo's guest's faces showed shock.
"Would you just shut up about the stupid king already? I am here too. You have no idea what I'm capable of."
Tsukishima's plain face turned to judgment for sure, scrutinizing Shoyo's words. "Oh yea"

Shoyo jumped back a couple of steps, "Hey, What's that look for anyway, buddy? Are you trying to start something with me?"
Tsukishima just gave an audible sigh before showing a small smile, "There's no need to argue, alright. Let's all enjoy playing some quidditch together. It's just a game, right."

Shoyo hadn't been in the wizarding world long, but he already knew a lot about quidditch and knew he wanted to play it.

~Flashback~

Shoyo left Takeda to head to the Magical Menagerie. He walked for a minute before Shoyo passed the quidditch shop, which surprisingly had a muggle TV displaying a quidditch match. He remembered McGonagall briefly explaining the game, but this match was fascinating. He continued to watch for a minute when this tiny guy appeared on the screen. He had the quaffle in his hand, racing past people left and right before he faked out the goalkeeper and made a winning goal.

Something in Shoyo clicked; it almost felt like a breeze flew from that TV. He stared in wonder at the young boy being crowded by his teammates, ruffling his fluffy black hair. Shoyo knew at that moment he was going to play quidditch no matter what.

~End of flashback~

"What's that supposed to mean?" Shoyo asked defensively.
"Exactly what it sounds like. Bye." Tsukishima stated, bored.
"Hey, not so fast." But the two boys were already walking away from the compartment.

Shoyo met up with Kageyama again, sitting in a compartment not far from the old one, yet this one had a few passengers already. Three, to be exact.
