The students followed Professor McGonagall through the corridors, staring in awe at the sheer size.

Taking a left, the students came to the entrance to the great hall. On each side, we're benches filled with students anxiously waiting for the feast. Shoyo turned his head in every direction, He noticed the floating candles first and how the ceiling reflected the weather. Lanterns holding fire held by the vast fireplaces and in front of it was a very long table, housing Professors.

Shoyo could hear a girl ahead of him rambling little facts about the building to another girl.
"...I read it in Hogwarts: A History."

The girl stopped once they reached the stool, a grubby hat sitting on it. Professor McGonagall stood next to the cap, waiting for the students to walk over. Shoyo glanced at the teacher's table and made eye contact with one of the scariest-looking people in Shoyo's eyes! He quickly averted his eyes from the black-haired teacher.

Focusing again on the stool, Shoyo heard the dirty hat talk! Jumping back, he had accidentally hit Kageyama in the stomach, who pushed him off aggressively, but halfway through the hat's speech, Shoyo lost focus and kept staring at the ceiling.

"Abbot, Hannah." McGonagall's voice boomed

Shoyo's head snapped down to the teacher, who gave him a knowing look. Shoyo had zoned out for half of the speech, it hadn't sounded important, but he knew he would pay for it later.

"Potter, Harry."

The whole great hall fell into a hush, again whispering about the mysterious boy. Rumors spread like quick-fire here, Shoyo could tell.

The hall could not hear what the hat was telling the boy. He looked anxious for the long minutes until the sorting hat announced,

"GRYFFINDOR!"

The table closest to the stool cheered with way too much enthusiasm as the boy made his way down to join the crowd of red crests.
"Yamaguchi, Tadashi."

The boy with green hair climbed the stairs hesitantly and flinched when the sorting hat touched his head. This sorting took longer than usual, but the hat called,

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Tadashi looked pleased, yet a little sad as Tsukishima was called, and the sorting hat yelled,

"SLYTHERIN!"

Tsukishima kept his face into that facade he carved, but his eyes read a hint of disappointment.

"Hinata, Shoyo."

Some murmurs fell at the mention of Shoyo's name as he confidently climbed the stairs.

"Ahhh, a Hinata, I see. I remember when I sorted one like you, it felt like yesterday. Lots of ambition, I see. You would make a great Slytherin, you know, but oh what's this?"

Shoyo's stomach flipped at the Hat's words.

The hat continued,
"You are mighty hard to sort, Mr.Hinata. I see qualities of all, oh definitely not a Ravenclaw. Still, especially Slytherin," The hat enunciated Slytherin with extra force, "But you do know I can see part of your future, and it looks dark. I think it'll be,

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Shoyo's table cheered for him, not as loud as Harry, but enough for him to feel welcomed.

He went and sat across from Harry; Shoyo could feel every slap on the back he received was out of kindness.

After the rest of the students were sorted, Shoyo sat in anticipation as Dumbledore cleared his throat sincerely and gave the speech including, but not limited to, Staying away from the forbidden forest, third-floor corridor, and no magic in the halls. Then he spread his arms, and the magic began.

Plethoras of plates appeared fully cooked on the table in front of them. Everybody had dug in when Shoyo started grabbing the mashed potatoes. They were heavenly creamy and full of flavor. Halfway through his potatoes, Shoyo glanced around at his housemates and who he would be rooming with.

Shoyo turned his head, catching a glimpse of Kageyama sitting on the end of the table with blue house crests. He seemed too scary for Ravenclaw. Shoyo's head flung back around, hearing an explosion.

One boy sat balling his eyes out of laughter, holding his stomach, while the other glared at the laughing boy, only he had mashed potatoes covering 90% of his face and 10% down his robes. It would be a miracle to see through the goop.

"TANAKA, NISHINOYA, MY OFFICE NOW!" McGonagall bellowed, getting up from her seat. The hall was silent, now watching the participant's faces.

The hysterically laughing boy was now silent while the other was snickering. They, amused, made their way out of the great hall. People all around laughed and giggled. The Gryffindor prefect would say different.

Shoyo turned to the upperclassman next to him. "Who are those two?"
"Those two are the best pranksters in the second year." The boy had red hair and many freckles, and long, thin arms hung at his side.
"Not as good as us, right Freddie." Another boy, identical to the previous boy, spoke. He leaned far back on the bench to see Shoyo.
"Right, George."

And with that, Shoyo's conversation about the two mysterious boys halted, for now. Shoyo was, however, hesitant about the two twins he had just met, they radiated trouble, and that intrigued him.

"Caput Draconis." The portrait swung open, revealing a lush room decorated in red, everything. The couch and armchairs were all red except the gold and red rug. A grand fireplace sat empty in the middle of the room, between the stairs to both dormitories.

Shoyo passed through and immediately started hopping around out of excitement. Nothing had hit him until these last few hours. He felt such a range of emotions in such a short amount of time that he was exhausted.

Shoyo went up to the prefect, "Excuse me, but which door is for the first years?"
Percy Weasley answered primly, "First one on the left."

Shoyo climbed the stairs and opened the wood door to a vast room. He was surprised at the size of the room. How was that possible for just a tower? Yet still exhausted, Shoyo just counted the beds, coming up with around 8-9 beds. He now knew why this room was substantially larger.

Shoyo claimed the bed nearest to the window and fell asleep, feet still on his trunk. Shoyo dreamt all night of the adventures soon to come.
