(This is for a later scene, but imagine that scene when Hinata sees Kageyama for the first time in Middle school and how his expression quickly changed)

Authors note: school has been
everywhere lately and I plan to write a lot more as school is in its last quarter. Expect longer, better chapters in the near future.

( I forgot to mention Hinata is newly 11 while Natsu is 6-7 years old)

As their mom promised, weird random things started occurring more often, especially in July after Shoyo's eleventh birthday. Without her advice, they would have missed the anomalies around them.

"That's like the fifth owl I have seen today!" Natsu exclaimed, pointing to a fluffy, beige-colored barn owl soaring away from the clearing and the high pine treetops.
"I know what you mean. I swear I saw a cat looking at a map!" Shoyo practically yelled back, gesturing to the area around the park.

A pause. "I mean, mom did say things like this would happen," Shoyo said, using his white t-shirt to wipe the beads of sweat on his forehead.

The Hinata siblings were soon walking back from the new park, passing by houses they had seen many times before; The blue one with wood in half of the windows and grass taller than Shoyo, The gray one with a cranky old lady and her eight cats where they accidentally threw a volleyball once, the list could go on.

"Shoyo, can we stop at the Sakanoshita Market? Please!!!" Natsu pleaded,
"Sure, I'm dying for a pork bun!"

They soon left at the big oak tree and walked for a couple more minutes in the blazing heat before finally reaching the small convenience store. It was the only store for miles with snacks from Japan- man, did Shoyo miss Japan!

Shoyo opened the glass doors to a window of cool air, hitting him and Natsu, blowing their orange hair a bit with the breeze, instantly cooling them off.

" Hello, can I help you two?" A man asked. He was about 5'10 with blonde hair pulled back by a '90s looking headband, two small silver earrings on his left ear, a cigarette in his mouth, and he was holding a magazine with a picture of a bike on the front. He looked agitated at the arrival of the siblings.

"No, thank you! We will browse first." Shoyo responded.

Natsu trotted off to the candy aisle while Shoyo headed towards the aisle with meat in it, the scents of hundreds of snacks wafting through the air. Shoyo breathed in deeply, savoring his favorite smells, pork buns, pocky sticks, spicy ramen, strawberry milk, etc.

His brown eyes soon fell on the target, a pork bun. Its aroma snaked through the room, finding Shoyo. He was drooling from the opposite side of the aisle.

Shoyo swiftly speed walked to the counter with the delectables. Uh-oh, there was only one left. He was so close. Shoyo had put his hand on the bun when a more prominent hand came out of nowhere and snatched it away, instantly inserting dominance.

"Hey, I had that first!" Shoyo exclaimed, whirling to look at the culprit who took his snack.

He was stunning (to Shoyo, ofc). Shoyo's breath slightly hitched when he gazed upon the male. He had dazzling blue-blueberry eyes with black, somewhat fringed hair coming close to his eyes. Shoyo noted his height, having a few inches on him, and he looked muscular like he could beat someone up or play a sport. The boy instantly started glaring at Shoyo.

"Well, it's in my hands right now, and you can't do anything about it, can you?" The boy retorted, looking down at Shoyo.
" That's not fair, I'm hungry, and besides, I touched it first."
"I don't care. Find a different snack."
Shoyo was slightly taken aback by the boy's rudeness, but he paused, considering his next question.

"Fine, but can I at least have your name?" Shoyo asked,

The boy looked Shoyo up and down before replying,
"It's Tobio, Tobio Kageyama." He then turned around, paid for his pork bun, and left without ever glancing back to the boy still standing by the pork bun counter.

The sky presented purple and pink hues across the horizon when the Hinata siblings left the Sakanoshita store, filling their bellies on the way home.

" Shoyo, I thought you wanted a pork bun?" Natsu inquired,
" I did! But this tough-looking guy took it from me." Shoyo replied, imitating Tobio.
"Well, that's okay... Do you want a Pocky stick?" Natsu asked, holding out a cookies and cream Pocky stick.
" Sure, Thanks!" He answered, munching on the stick, "But mom might be mad that we ate something before dinner."
"Maybe, but she seemed anxious today... said something about a letter coming in the mail," Natsu confessed.
" I bet we will be fine; just hurry and finish your sticks."
"Okay!"

The Hinata siblings turned down their fragmented road, instantly spotting the light in the kitchen.

"Come on, let's hurry!" Shoyo begged, starting to sprint.

They both were panting as they opened the creaky door, hitting another air conditioner wall.

"Mom, we're home!" Natsu announced,
"And what took you so long?" A voice came from the kitchen,
"We stayed at the park a little bit too long, sorry," Shoyo said, looking down

Shoyo's mom's head peaked around the corner, eyebrows raised,
" likely story probably went to the Sakanoshita market again."

Having the desire to change the subject, Shoyo asked,
"What's for dinner?"
"Oh, some hot pockets."
"Yes, I love those!" Natsu shouted.
" Just come sit down before they get too cold."

The three of them all sat down peacefully at their small dining room table, chewing on their microwaveable hot pockets silently. After agonizing minutes of silence, their mother spoke up,

" I have something for you, Shoyo." She said, handing him an official-looking paper.

Shoyo quickly grabbed it, he never got letters from anyone, and this one looked official, even decked with a crimson seal.

Shoyo read aloud,
" To Mr. S. Hinata,
the second bedroom on the left,
Number 9 Suriel Lane,
Livingston,
West Lothian."
