*Alex's POV*
We returned to school after a long weekend. Surprisingly we didn't get into any trouble. No calls down to the office, nothing. I walked into first period to set my stuff down. I saw Jasper sitting in her chair, messing around with her phone. She kept turning it off and then on again.
"Hey Jas. whatcha doing?" I said putting my head over her shoulder and looking at her phone. She got up from her seat, but didn't say anything.
"Jasper what's wrong?" I asked following her out the door. She stopped walking once she left where the portables were.
"Jasper?" I stood in front of her. She had the biggest smile on her face.
"Guess what?" She squealed.
"We don't have to go to school anymore?" I smiled, knowing that wasn't it.
"I wish, but no. It's Dustin! He asked me out." She smiled. Dustin was one of those popular boys. Always into making people's lives hell. I would know. He picked on me for years until I got the courage to fight back.
"Don't do it Jasper. He's just playing you. He's done that to almost every girl in this school. Not to be rude but you're not that special. He's gonna do something that's gonna hurt you more than anything." I looked at her texting on her phone.
"But he says he won't do that stuff see? He promised." She had a light in her eyes. Soon that would be destroyed.
"Go ahead but don't say I didn't warn you. He's trouble. He's worse than us." I started walking back to the class. Jasper followed closely behind me.
"Honestly Jas, the reason I almost killed myself was because he was playing me. Then he bullied me. Started rumors saying I was a whore, a les, and a fag. Please don't do this Jas."
"Okay. But what if he isn't lying." She bit her lip and looked down at her phone. I gave her a small smile.
"He is okay just please trust me. And I thought we were both staying free until we were outta high school." I walked into class.
"Oh yeah." She smiled.*Jaspers POV*
I walked home from school today. I was going to meet Dustin besides what Alex said. He's not lying I know it. I'm pretty sure he's not lying...
Eventually I met up with him and we talked for a little bit."Alright. I'll meet you by your locker tomorrow." He smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Okay. See you then." I smiled and waved to him as I walked away. Hopefully he's not lying. I mean really he's attractive and everything but not Alex has me overthinking. He's not lying. I repeat it to myself over and over but it just doesn't seem right. When I got home I ate dinner and then went up to bed. Still telling myself he isn't lying. It still doesn't seem right. I don't know why but it doesn't. There's a strange feeling I get with him, when I'm around him. And I don't know what that feeling is.
"He's not lying.." I whisper to myself as I fall asleep.
