"Goodnight Lani." Ayla said kissing her forehead after Karter did
"Goodnight." D'lani said as they left out her room, her phone dinged making her pick it up off the pillow
Zee🖤: you coming or not

D'lani got up out her bed making sure to put pillows under the covers
She been doing this since she was 14 it was nothing new to her.
She climbed out the window making sure not to make any noise that would wake the house up.
She walked towards Zee car hopping in the passenger seat
"Hey" she smiled brightly at him and he just pulled off with out saying anything
"What's wrong?" D'lani asked him getting nervous
"Stop questioning me." He finally responded making her frown
She didn't know what his problem was so she left him alone.
They pulled up to a house with people standing outside and inside with red solo cups
She got out the car with out saying anything and so did Zee, she didn't go anywhere until he was by her side
D'lani didn't really have any female friends except one and she know she wouldn't be here
Or maybe she was wrong
"Lani!" Her friend Fantasia called out to her making her smile
"I thought Id be here by myself." D'lani let out a sigh of relief
" Not today, my sister forced me to come because I was being a quote on quote prune." Fantasia rolled her eyes
"How'd you get here, aren't you in trouble- oh my goodness. D'lani!" Fantasia looked at her disappointedly
"He asked me to come and I wanted to get out of the house." D'lani said
"You- I really don't wanna hear it right now." D'lani cut Fantasia off
" I literally hear how he's a bad influence all day everyday. I make my own choices." D'lani said and Fantasia sighed
D'lani eyes scanned around the house and she spotted Ricky making her smirk to her self
"Don't. You know how Zee and nem is. They Gon jump that boy." Fantasia said to D'lani
"Tasia, this ain't nun but a lil friendly interaction." D'lani said
"You can tell he wants more than whatever lil friendly interaction you talking bout." Fantasia said rolling her eyes
"Girl I just met that boy." D'lani said with a mug
" No you did not, please girl Ricky has been in the same school as us for the past I don't know." Fantasia said
"Since fucking elementary." Fantasia said
" Wow. He looks so different." D'lani said
" Yea but he still acts the same." Fantasia
"Imma go talk to him." D'lani said walking towards him while Fantasia called her name over the loud music
"Hey Ricky" D'lani smiled at him
"Wass- ain't you on punishment asumn?" Ricky asked squinting his eyes at her
"I'm not here to talk about that." D'lani said rolling her eyes
"I wanna have a conversation with you." D'lani said
"Ion wanna have a conversation with no jail bird." Ricky responded
"You got that shit from my brother's, it ain't funny." D'lani said rolling her eyes
"Kinda is but if you say so." Ricky said shrugging his shoulders
"You like me?" D'lani asked boldly while making eye contact with Ricky
She saw his face drop in shock
"Huh..? Where you hear that from?" Ricky said nervously, everyone knew he liked D'lani since middle school. Even her parents knew.
He just never approached her because he didn't think he would be her type since she was with Zee and all
"Word gets around.." D'lani responded
"Damn- I- Well Y-" Ricky got cut off by Zee coming next to D'lani wrapping his arm around her shoulder
"You good?" Zee asked D'lani making her nod her head in response
"Wassgood lil Ricky." Zee said looking Ricky up and down
Ricky mugged him as his response.
"Why you talking to my lil brother?" Ricky's older brother Dominic said stepping in
"Damn Dom it's like that." Zee said laughing
"Just tryna see why he in my girl face." Zee said
"Dont check my brother bout shit. If anything check ya bitch." Dominic said and D'lani scrunched her face up
"Bitch dont call me a bitch. I got brother's for you. And I could fight. So watch ya mouth." D'lani fussed
"Come on. We leaving." Zee said grabbing her dragging her outside
Ricky saw Zee push her making him sit up but Dominic grabbed his arm
" Mind your business." Dominic said to him
"I can't just let him push her like that. That's foul if I just stand here." Ricky responded
"Everyone knows you like her or maybe even love her but she dont feel the same for you." Dominic said and left to rejoin his friends, Ricky sat there with a frown on his face being lost in his thoughts.
