Weeks of the incident that occurred at the park passed and no one spoke about it or brung it up, including D'lani.
They act is if it never happened, even though two days after Zee cursed D'lani out and spat threats to her about her brother's and Ricky. She shrugged it off and didn't tell the boys anything because she knew Zee wouldn't do anything and she didn't want her brother's to overreact.
The boy's were currently in the back yard of the Jackson's home playing basketball.
"I'm not playing with these niggas no more." D'sir said huffing referring to Ricky and D'arius
"On god." D'mir said frowning as he wiped the sweat off his face.
"Bitch you supposed to be my brother and you gon let me lose like that?" D'mir added pointing at D'arius
"I expect more from you, you my best friend. You kept blocking my shots. You tall bitch." D'mir said to Ricky making him laugh
"Nigga so dramatic." D'arius stated rolling his eyes
Ricky shook his head as he walked in the house to grab a water
He walked in the kitchen not noticing D'lani was sitting on the counter
"You ain't gon speak." She said and he dropped the water bottle since she startled him
"I ain't even see you right there, wassup." Ricky said keeping it short as he was getting ready to walk out
D'lani grabbed his arm stopping him, "Why you avoiding me?" D'lani asked tilting her head
"Ion know what you talm bout." Ricky shrugged his shoulders, she grabbed his face making him look her in the eyes
"Yes you do Ricardo." She said with her hand still gripping his chin
Ricky scrunched his face up at the fact of her using his real name.
"Stop calling me that." He said to whete only she can hear
D'lani leaned up and kissed his lips slowly and softly
His arms wrapped around her waist as he pushed them to lean on the counter
"Ricky!" Hearing the familiar voice of one of her brother's, which was D'sir, call his name he pulled away
"Yo?" Ricky called back
"You good? We boutta play again" D'sir said
"Yea I'm straight, I'll be out inna sec." Ricky said and he heard the door close indicating that D'sir left
D'lani was just staring at him biting her lip, taking in his appearance. As his Black long thick soft hair was tied into a sloppy bun in the back, and tattoos drawn in numerous places.
She noticed the freshly cut fade he had too.
"Stop staring dude." Ricky said breaking her away from her thoughts
"You're so pretty." D'lani said smiling
"Pretty? Man you onnat bullshit." Ricky lightly laughed as he made his way to the back yard again.

"Why do you like me?" D'lani asked making Ricky freeze up.
"Hm?" Ricky hummed as a signal for her to repeat her self, and she did.
"Your a good person, I love your personality. I like that you stick up for the people you love and care about, I like your smile overall." Ricky rambled
"I like when your nose crinkle when you laugh and stuff too." Ricky finished and they sat in a comfortable silence as Ricky's words circled around in her head.
"You remember the time when this really big bitch in 8th grade pushed me and broke my glasses. So you fought her." Ricky added smiling at the memory
" I'm talking bout swinging her against lockers and all." Ricky laughed and so did D'lani
"Yea, I remember. I was mad that day already because my grandmother whooped me." D'lani said rolling her eyes , they sat in a comfortable silence again before D'lani spoke up.
"I like you too." D'lani blurted out and Ricky heart sped up
He felt the palms of his hands get sweaty
He mentally rolled his eyes noticing he was acting like a 14 year old boy in the closet alone with a girl for the first time.
"I dont know what to say..? Aren't you with Zee and shit? I dont wanna be put in a complicated situation." Ricky said
"No me and him are done. For good." D'lani said, Her and Zee had an argument because he said she acted like a child half of the time so they argued and they "broke up".
"I-." D'lani cut Ricky off by grabbing his face to kiss him.

Ricky.🧍🏽♀️uhm I wanted to give y'all a peek in Ricky's life but the part of his life i wrote was too soon to bring up so that will be another chapter and I'll write something.
Also if you guys couldn't tell I'm trying to be more descriptive with my writing.
