D'lani hasn't been out the house in weeks after the party, she just didn't feel like doing anything.
"Can I go to the store?" D'lani asked her father
" store and back." Karter said and she nodded her head
She made her way towards the store on the corner until she heard her name being called
"Lani!" She turned around and seen Ricky
"You aight?" He asked her referring to what happened when she was leaving.
" I'm good. It wasnt nothing." D'lani said
" I wanted to do something bout it but Dom stopped me." Ricky said frowning
"Its fine, thank you for trying to help, bit dont get involved." D'lani said and she continued her way to the store.
Ricky sighed as he made his way to her house
He was supposed to be hanging out with her brother's today
He knocked on the door twice
The door opened
"Wassgood Ricardo" D'sir said on purpose because he knew Ricky didn't like the name
" You a bitch." Ricky responded walking into the house
" I need a new tattoo, my pop pop acting like he can't do my tattoos no more. Old ass." D'sir ranted as they walked upstairs
" because you never pay." Ricky responded, perks of being D'mirs best friend. Ricky has met the whole family, and he was shocked how big the Jackson family was
When he was younger and met Khalil, his middle school self was fangirling.
"Bitch, yousa fucking cheater." D'sir said to D'arius
" You just can't play." D'arius said shrugging his shoulders
"Ricky when are you going to get a girlfriend? I needa nephew asap. These niggas boring." D'mir said to Ricky
"He hung up on D'lani. Still." D'arius said and Ricky groaned
"Tell the whole world about it." Ricky said sarcastically
"Every one know. Even my great grandmother know." D'arius said shrugging his shoulders
"Where Lani ass at anyways?" D'mir asked
" I saw her and she was walking to the store." Ricky answered
" we going to the park. I'm bored as shit." D'mir said and they all got up and left out the room
"Momma!" D'mir yelled from outside the door making everything go quiet
"Ew-.." D'arius was the first one to notice making the rest gag in disgust
"Ewwwwwww." D'mir said running away from the door.

The boys sat on the benches in the park as they talked amongst themselves about nothing really.
Ricky looked up and seen D'lani and Zee hugged up on the bleachers, they both mad eye contact
He could tell that she was shocked but didn't let it bother her
He quickly dropped the gaze before the others caught on but he was to late.
D'sir got up and made his way over to the two quickly and fast as his brothers and Ricky followed.
D'lani quickly got up because she saw the angry expression plastered on his face
"D'sir no!" D'lani tried to push her brother back but he pushed out the way and swung on Zee making him stumbled back
D'sir kept hitting him over and over again as D'lani cried
D'mir and Ricky pulled him back, because they if he hit him a few more times he would've blacked out
They heard a gun click making them all look at Zee
"Why dont we all just calm down? Shit dont even gotta go this far." Ricky said, Ricky didn't like no sort of drama what so ever. That's why he always stayed to himself
"Zee can you please put the gun down.." D'lani said with a frown on her face
Police sirens went through the ears, as all their first instinct was to run and they did
Zee ran first and the rest ran a separate way
The group of kids was together at first but accidentally got split up
Ricky and D'lani hid in an alley as they heard the sirens die down.
"Why the fuck didn't you stop him!" D'lani yelled at Ricky and he mugged her
"Whatever the fuck you got going on aint got shit to do with me. You told me don't get involved right? Dont worry bout it right? So I'm not." Ricky responded
"Fuck is you yelling at me for." Ricky added
She just stared at him as he stared back
She couldn't lie and say he wasn't attractive cause he was.
She stepped closer to him while they still held eye contact
"I'm not playing one of your games." Ricky said lowly as they're faces were a few inches apart
"Who said I wanted you to play one of my games? When you can be the one to end it.." she said as they stay stilled without making any sound
The only thing to be heard was their heart beats and the wind that pushed pass a few times.
Ricky was reeled in, and he didn't like it.
