Ricardo pulled his pants up as he walked to the mirror in his bathroom
He stared at his self, frowning as he stared at the long thick hair that was all over the place since it wasnt braided and that frustrated him since he didn't know what do with it.
He grabbed the brush of his sink and brushed it up into a sloppy bun.
He walked out his room, making sure to grab his phone.
He walked in the kitchen , seeing his little sister Aiko sitting on the floor eating her food
"Koko, where Momma at?" Ricky asked , the little girl looked up from her plate and shrugged her shoulders
" I saw her get in a blue car." Aiko added
"She said you were gonna watch me and left." Aiko said and Ricky frowned. He wanted to go outside and see D'lani and her brothers today, but he didn't wanna take his little sister to that park.
Ricky rubbed his hands down his face letting out a heavy sigh.
Ricky felt his phone vibrate and his hand making him lift it up to see who it was. He saw it was D'lani and answered
"Are you coming still?" D'lani asked Ricky, "I cant. I gotta watch my sister." Ricky responded and he heard D'lani sigh
"Why didn't you say anything, I could've came over." D'lani said
"I'm coming bye." D'lani said as she hung up the phone
"You're cheesing super hard. Who was that?" Aiko spoke
"Uh I dont know, if shes my girlfriend or not. So I'll say a close friend?" Ricky said honestly not really knowing what they were just knowing that they cuddled and kissed from time to time
"What do you mean you dont know if shes your girlfriend?" Aiko asked looking at him like her was stupid
"You already messed up. I'm 10 and I know that's a pure rookie mistake to dating." Aiko said rolling her eyes putting her plate in the sink
"You shouldn't even know about dating." Ricky responded
"Dominic taught me so I won't make rookie mistakes like you." Aiko smiled and Ricky mugged her.
"You 10 but with a attitude of a 20 year old." Ricky said
"And what about it?" Aiko rolled her neck at him
"Go play with a doll asumn." Ricky said to her making her roll her eyes

"You should've called earlier." D'lani said as she plopped on the couch next to Ricky
She reached over grabbing his face kissing his lips, which still shocked him. None of this felt like it was real.
"Why Mir and nem ain't come?" Ricky asked
" I told them not to. You dont wanna spend time alone with me?" D'lani looked at him with a frown
" I do." Ricky said leaning in and he kissed her lips
He pulled away and she still had a frown,
" I do, I promise." Ricky said and D'lani smiled , the two sat on the couch in Ricky's living room.
They would go into conversation than watch the movie that played on the screen.
D'lani phone rung and she looked at Ricky who was paying attention to the movie. She grabbed her phone and got up and walked in the bathroom
"Hello?" D'lani answered
"Yo this Lani?" The voice on the other end asked and D'lani made a face
" if youn know who it is. Why you calling." D'lani said and the person let out a laugh
"Oh yea, Zee in jail." D'lani heard and her heart dropped
"Why? Is he okay? What happened?" She rambled on with questions
"Gun charge, 3 months or earlier if they give him the option to choose house arrest or some shit else, I dont know that big ass word." By the last statement she can tell it was Zee friend Rk.
"Tell him to call me." D'lani said
"Bitch he did." Rk responded
"Can he have visitors?" D'lani asked
"Not today, tomorrow he can. I'll take you if you want." Rk said
" okay, thanks. How long has he been in there?" D'lani asked
"Girl I dont know, 4 weeks. What the fuck have you been doing? I'm surprised you wasnt the first one to tell me." Rk said
"I've been busy." D'lani said
"Mhmm. I'll see you tomorrow." Rk said as he hung up
Her phone rung making her pick it up
"Hello?" D'lani heard Zee's voice over the phone
"Hey baby, you okay?" D'lani asked biting her lip nervously
"Yea baby, I miss you. Why haven't you answered your phone?" Zee asked
"I've been busy with my parents and stuff, Rk just told me you was in jail. What a coincidence that you called right after." D'lani said
" I got 3 months for a gun." Zee sighed
"That was real dumb Zee, I got to go." D'lani said hearing footsteps
"I love you and imma come visit you." D'lani added with a smile he couldn't see
"I love you too." Zee said back as the phone hung up, his words made her heart sped up
"Lani you good?" D'lani heard Ricky say from the other side of the door making her huff.
"Yea I'm fine" D'lani replied with a heavy sigh.
