Based very loosely on the Vikkstar Flirts With Harry clip.

Harry felt his breath hitch as he heard Vik's voice through his earphones. His words both made him want to smile and run and hide at the same time.

Even with his heart beating faster inside his chest, Harry tried to make a joke out of it.

"Only above average? Thanks Vik."

Vik's eyes widened comically as he hurried to correct Harry.

"No, no, no, I mean, you're not above average, you're-"

Simon leaned forward, his lips close to his mic, and whispered, "An ugly prick."

Harry pouted, the speed of his heart slowing just enough for his mind to settle slightly.

"Allrright, ya bastard."

Simon laughed, setting everyone else into soft chuckles as he leaned back in his chair.

As JJ stopped laughing, he resorted himself in his chair, prepared to steer the conversation into a weird direction, as usual.

"Anyone else going to admit they fancy Harry, then?"

Harry could feel his face heat, his cheeks begin to pinken. At the same time, Vik spluttered, eyes wide and eyebrows furrowed. Overall, he was making an even bigger deal than what had been expected at such a comment.

"It's fine Vik, Harry's very farncyable." Josh said, his voice turning posher as he neared the end of his sentence.

"Yeah, he is you know. Might snatch meself a date. You free tomorrow Harry?" Ethan asked, a large grin on his face, making it clear that he was joking.

Vik didn't seem to understand that as he, quite aggressively, told Ethan to fuck off.

"Woah, mate, calm down."

"Y'alright, Vik?" Tobi had a worried expression on his face, fixing his headphones as his eyebrows furrowed.

"I'm just sick of everyone flirting with my boyfriend."

It was almost comical how Vik's entire face dropped once the words were out, his eyes darting down to his desk immediately.

"Shit."

Simon tilted his head to one side, bewildered.

"Your boyfriend?"

Vik nodded wordlessly, looking seconds away from crying, his hand scratching at the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Vik..." Harry whispered, his face red and eyes sad. If you knew Harry, knew to look closer whenever he was involved, you'd notice his bottom lip was trembling minutely.

"I'm sorry, Harry."

"No, no, it's fine. Don't be sorry Vik."

Harry gulped, and as one, the group settled into a torturous silence.

"So. How long have you two been a thing?" Josh asked.

Vik's eyes darted down to his desk before he looked back up again, appearing to be giving himself some form of mental speech.

"About two weeks."

"One week, six days and fourteen hours."

Harry reared his head back reflexively, before a tiny smile graced his features.

"Yeah, my bad. One week, six days and fourteen hours."

"So this is still new to you guys." JJ now sat forward, head tilted to the side and back in interest.

Again, Vik nodded wordlessly.

"I'm not doing so well with the feelings." Vik said honestly, and Harry's head shot up before he turned his head left then right, just looking. His eyes looked a little wet, glazed over unusually.

"I- I didn't know that." Harry didn't understand whether Vik meant good feelings or bad feelings.

He chewed on his bottom lip nervously, deciding to just ask.

"Good feelings?" His voice had a hopeful tinge to it. "Or," his voice now sounded noticeably sadder, even on just one word. "Or, bad, feelings?"

Vik seemed to ponder the thought for a minute - leaving everyone feeling oddly tense - before he finally replied.

"Bad feelings."

Harry gulped again, letting out a nervous, pessimistic laugh. "Oh, right."

His eyes didn't seem as glazed anymore, but the others all saw his whole mouth twitch as he blinked away the wetness. Except Vik, of course, who's eyes were once again downcast.

Feeling bad, Tobi tried to help move the situation along, preferably on to a happier note.

"Vik, what kind of bad feelings?"

At the same time that Vik's Adam's Apple bobbed, one of his eyebrows lurched downwards, the corner of his mouth on the same side twitching.

"The, the." Vik paused, looking incredibly ashamed. "You know, the, the green one."

JJ and Ethan both looked severely confused at Vik's words whilst Tobi and Josh both looked and felt bad. Sympathetic. Simon smiled briefly, oddly relieved, before his face set into one of empathy.

"That's okay, Vik."

"Yeah, it's perfectly alright to feel that way."

"Feel what way?"

"J-jealous."

Harry gasped, relieved, a single tear drop falling as he pressed the heels of his palms against his eyes.

Jealous. Jealousy, Harry could deal with. He'd been so scared, before. And for no reason, apparently.

"Oh! Is it because Harry is above average?"

Ethan's comment sent Harry off into a fit of wet giggles, his palms still covering his eyes, even as another tear dropped.

Vik grinned shyly, looking less worried now.

"Yeah." Vik looked back down at his desk, again. His eyes twinkled as he stared at the picture of him and Harry, shoulders touching with their hands in their own pockets. Timid smiles set on their faces.

"He's definitely above average."
