For -serpentarius who wanted more Wroetostar.
Uncomfortable.
Vik felt uncomfortable.
His shoulders were stiff, tense; his back as straight as it could be. (As straight as a board.)
No one else seemed to have reached the same level of discomfort as him yet. A lot of them were even laughing.
Except Harry, it appeared. Every few minutes, Harry would send a long, concerned look his way.
His expression was so caring Vik felt moments away from crying.
That feeling, mixed with his current unease, left Vik surprised he hadn't burst into tears just yet.
Other than Harry, though, no one else seemed to have noticed how he was feeling.
~~~
"Psst, Vik." Was whispered somewhere above Vik. In his tired state, he couldn't immediately place a name to the voice.
There were knees just grazing his elbow, and when he opened his eyes, he found Harry kneeling at his side, peering down at him. His face held the same concerned expression as earlier.
"What, Harry?"
After a look around the room, Vik realised the other boys were all still asleep, so he decided to keep his voice quiet, tried to match Harry's gentle tone.
(He failed, but, no one woke up, so. A win for Vik.)
"Are you okay?"
Vik's eyebrows furrowed, his head jerked back minutely. Harry's words were bewildering.
"You woke me up in the middle of the night, just to ask me if I'm okay?" Vik asked, though his voice and the way he said it edged it along the line of being a statement.
"I- yeah. You looked upset earlier."
Harry's eyes were wide, gentle and caring as he so often is, apparently.
"If you want I can - I can ask my mom if she'll take you home."
Vik didn't understand. Maybe it was because he'd only minutes ago woken up; his eyes were still half-shut, even.
"I- you don't like it here, right? I'm sorry. I'll get my mom to take you home if you want."
Harry's words were soft, like he was trying to comfort him. His words were kind, but his eyes were wet and his bottom lip was trembling.
"What, no. Why would I want to go home?"
Vik didn't bother pointing out - again - that it was the middle of the night. It wasn't fair on either of their parents for him to go home now.
"You- you don't like it here, right? You're uncomfortable and sad, and I'm sorry. I just thought it would be a good idea to have a sleepover." Harry laughed, but it was one so devoid of any real humour it made Vik sad. "Obviously not."
"Harry." Vik said, finally sitting up properly. He set a hand lightly on Harry's arm. "This sleepover was a great idea. I actually had a lot of fun earlier."
