Damaged

To people,
I'm the good girl, the intelligent and bold one.
The well mannered one, the punctual one.
The perfectionist.

But in the night I'm just a damaged little girl who's scared of being hurt again.
The little girl who cries herself to sleep
That girl who always needs someone to comfort her.
The princess who wants to be the queen

I think I'm the meaning of damaged.
I'm the one who panics in front of less than twenty people
The one who beats herself up because of innocently getting excited
The one who struggles to get out of bed every morning
The one who sees the negative side of ever situation
The one who fucks every conversation up
The one who spots out every grammatical error
The one who can never hide her irritation
The one who can never keep a conversation going.

But still, i'm the one every other person looks up to and wishes to be.
I'm the damaged person everyone wants to be
