One last time

*Third Person POV*

As the smoke cleared, Herobrine could be seen standing right in the dead center of a crater. His skin was completely cracked up from head to toe, like broken glass. Feeling pity, Clay approached the villain, much to everyone else's surprise. 

"Hey." Clay greeted. 

Herobrine did not dare to speak as he knew if he moved, he would crumble and eventually die. Not even regeneration could save him this time. He was forced to stay like this forever if he wanted to live. 

"In your greed for power, look where it has gotten you." 

Herobrine was furious, how dare this boy speak to him about power. If he weren't handicapped like this, he would've beat the shit out of Clay. 

"I know what you're thinking... Why? Why did it come to this? I'll tell you, greed. Greed is an intense and selfish desire for something. In your case, it was power. You lusted for it, ignoring every consequence. And look what that did to you." Clay explained. 

Herobrine didn't want to admit it, but Clay was right. All this time, he was focused on acquiring quirks and getting stronger. He completely ignored the price. How could he have been so foolish! If he were more aware, this would not have happened. 

"No, Herobrine. This would've happened either way. Greed never has a happy ending." Clay corrected. 

...

"You were once a hero, but you let greed take over. You let the people who believed in you go, you tortured and killed countless heroes and people. You terrorized everyone, just because you wanted more power. But... I forgive you." Clay spoke. 

Hearing these words, Herobrine was hit with immense guilt. He looked back to every moment in his life, and finally, a strong feeling of regret lingered within him. 

A tear fell from Herobrine's eyes, the villain was ashamed. 

"I'm sorry." Herobrine spoke before crumbling into a million pieces. 

Finally, the threat was no more. Everyone was safe again.
