*Third Person POV*

Tommy and Karl stood tall as the two were about to face off against Malap, who had the intention to kill them. To Tommy, this wasn't hero training anymore, this was the real deal. No shortcuts, no way out. If they lose, they die. However, Karl did not have the same mindset.

"Before you two die, I do expect you to put up at least a good fight." Malap spoke as pitch black ropes started to flow right out of his palm.

"Karl, multiply yourself." Tommy instructed.

"Why? It's a two on one, we should be able to handle this." Karl argued.

"No, we need to play it safe. Having more than 2 people might help." Tommy explained.

"Fine, but what are you going to do?" Karl asked.

"You'll see." Tommy spoke as sparks started to come out of his feet.

Suddenly, Malap sent 4 black ropes towards Tommy and Karl's direction. The two boys managed to dodge as Tommy flew upwards and Karl moved out of the way.

"Why wasn't there any indication that the battle was going to start!?" Karl yelled as 5 of his clones appeared.

"There are no indications, Karl!" Tommy yelled back as he propelled himself towards Malap, trying to tackle him. However, he was unfortunately caught by Malap's black rope. This left him in a vulnerable position.

"Now, that was a little underwhelming. But no matter, I might as well kill you right here, right now." Malap spoke as the black ropes started to dig themselves right into Tommy's skin.

The rope was stabbing Tommy on multiple places, that being his chest, his ankle and his arm. Tommy screamed in pain as the ropes continued to dig their way deeper into his flesh.

Karl saw this and knew he had to intervene. He instructed one of his clones to jump Malap while ordering another to swiftly grab Tommy and retreat for the time being. The clones obliged as they did what they were told.

Karl's clone was nothing compared to Malap as he was instantly defeated. However, the other clone had enough time to grab Tommy away from his clutches as the two UA students went into hiding.

"So the two of you want to play that game, huh? So be it." Malap sighed as huge black ropes burst out of his back instead of his palms this time. As Malap walked around searching for Tommy and Karl, the black ropes on his back destroyed everything it came in contact with.

"You alright, Tommy?" Karl asked.

"Yeah, I should be fine. The wounds hurt a little, but I can manage." Tommy replied.

"Great. So how are we going to beat this guy?" Karl asked.

"I might have a plan..."

In the meantime, Malap was still causing destruction. And quite honestly, he was getting quite bored of it. He sighed boringly as he kicked a pebble to the side.

Suddenly, Tommy leapt out of his hiding space and blasted himself towards Malap. There was something odd about this Tommy however, the wounds that Malap inflicted were no longer on his body. But Malap didn't question it as he assumed that the other guy had some sort of healing quirk.

Gathering black ropes, Malap braced himself for Tommy as he closed in. Once close enough, Tommy stopped flying as he slid onto the ground under Malap's black rope shield. He then kicked his legs upward and released some of his firepower directly onto Malap's face.

Though damaged, Malap healed quickly as his black ropes quickly started to bind Tommy.

"This is the end for you." Malap said as the black rope squeezed Tommy to death.

However, Tommy disappeared, leaving a trace of smoke behind.

"You fell for it."

Karl walked out of his hiding spot and faced Malap, who was struggling to clear his vision.

"How did you- Where is that boy!?" Malap asked angrily.

"Look up."

As Malap looked upwards, he saw Tommy, who was mere inches away from crashing into him.

"Oh fu-"

An explosion occurred.

As the smoke cleared, Tommy could be seen standing beside an unconscious Malap. It was taking every last bit of his energy to stand as Tommy panted heavily while rubbing the injuries on his body.

"We done for the night?" Karl asked.

"Yeah, we are." Tommy replied.
