1st round

"It's time for the final event of the sports festival, the one on one tournament the winners of the Calvary battle will move on and fight in the tournament-"

"actually excuse me miss midnight." Everybody looked back to see ojiro with a disappointed look on his face. "I would like to withdraw from the tournament."

'Why would anyone want to withdraw after coming this far.' People thought. "The truth is before the the Calvary battle started everything went fuzzy then I was just there it, it doesn't feel right to progress without doing anything after everyone else tried so hard." "I would also like to withdraw for the same reason."

People looked over to see Nirengeki Shoda from class 1-B. "If I got here without my own strength then it just wouldn't feel right."

"Such passion from youth gets me excited, very well I will allow the withdrawal."

Ignoring the fact that midnight said that the kids passion got her excited that would mean that two people would have to fill there place. After some time they decided that it would be Ibara Shiozaki and Ochako uraraka that got to progress.

After everything was settled a randomizer was spun to see who would fight who in the tournament. And by a twisted set of fate Midoriya was the first one up to go against shinso. He had sometime to prepare before he had to fight so he went to see momo.

"Do you think you're ready for this?" "To be honest? No, I don't know much about he quirk so I can't prepare for it muc-" "Midoriya are you in her- oh yaoyarozu is here too well I guess it can't hurt to tell you too." "What's the problem ojiro?"

"It's about that shinso guy he was the reason I withdrew, he came up to me and asked me a question and when I answered everything got fuzzy and I don't remember what happened much after that until after the Calvary battle."

"His quirk sounds pretty dangerous do you think you'll be able to handle it deku?" "Yeah, I feel I can handle this more confidently now that I know how to combat it, sounds like all I have to do is not answer to him and I should be fine." "Wow you should say your problems out loud more often."

"Will the two fighters please come to the stage."

"Okay that's my que." "hold on a sec." "yeah?" "I want you to tell me how you knew I would put the headband on the bottom of todoroki's neck." "It's simple your the only person smart enough I know to do it on the spot like that."

With a smile deku walked out of the room and walked to the stage to meet shinso staring at him.

Let the match begin

"So Number 1 how does it feel to be the best not once but twice?" Deku remembered to keep his mouth shut, he even noticed that shinso had gotten a little tense not being able to get him to speak.

"Why aren't you speaking?, Is it that you find it wasteful to speak to someone weaker than you?" Midoriya slowly began to move forward not knowing if he had another way to trap people.

"I bet it was that damn monkey that told you my quirk."

'What!?'

"He was a fool to give up his spot, going on about honor it's just plain idiotic." "What the hell did you just sa-" 'got him'

"Deku no!" "Damn and after I went through the trouble of warning him!"

Midoriya then stoped dead in his tracks coming to a stand still. "Now walk out of this ring for me." Midoriya then turned around and started walking to the edge of the ring.

"What's this Midoriya is obeying shinso and walking out of the ring! Is this the end of his winning streak?!"

'Damnit, I can't believe I got caught and after Ojiro went through so much to warn me." Midoriya started doing everything in his power to break out of the mind control but alas there was nothing he could do.

But as deku was still searching for a way to get out, all of a sudden 8 mystical figures appeared one almost resembling all might. And as they appeared whispers started playing over and over again before an overwhelming power washed over him.

He felt his mind and body both filling up with power, and also his fingertips moving. With the burst of one for all he had just enough time to catch himself before he walked out of the ring.

He turned around and started running at shinso. "Just how the hell did you do that!?" The pain of his two broken fingers was able to keep his mouth in check. "You really do have a amazing quirk your the first person to break out of my mind control." Midoriya kept running towards him.

"You have no idea how us weaklings are with our poor quirks." Midoriya kept running at him but he understood everything he was talking about, being weak, being helpless, all of it and he wanted him to know it too.

He got up close to Shinso and started pushing him out of the ring shinso tried to fight back but deku to strong for him to handle on his own. He got a good punch in a reversed himself with deku's position and tried to push him out of the ring. But deku countered by swinging him over his arm and making him land out of the ring.

The whole stadium was quiet.

"And the winner for the first round is the MVP Izuku Midoriya!"

The crowd instantly started cheering but weirdly enough deku didn't hear any of it he was only able to stare at shinso slowly getting up and walking away. He didn't know what to say or if he would even listen to what he had to say but he was able to get something out. "Let's fight again sometime, okay?" Shinso turned around with a smirk on his face "you're a really weird guy you know that midoryia."

It may not of been much but Midoriya could tell that they where on better terms now, hell they could even be friends in the future.

In a meeting room after the match

"You okay kiddo a lot happened in the match?" "Yeah I'm fine it's just that, when shinso had brained washed me there were these strange figures that looked like ghosts and one of them looked like you all might." "Woah spooky, was there anything else?" "Yeah it's was these strange whispers except I wasn't able to make anything out." "So what did you hear?"

"The ninth."
