Fading Trust

The people were in suspense to finally see who the winner of the sports festival was. And when they saw nobody in the ring they were even more shocked.

With deku being so heavily stunned by the overuse of his quirk he wasn't able to resist the force of Bakugo's attack. But at the same time with Bakugo being so heavily injured by Deku's attacks earlier in the match his special attack was easily disrupted which caused both boys to go falling out of the arena ring.

"...The result of this fight was a draw but do to the injuries of Katsuki Bakugo there will not be a second match, which makes Izuku Midoriya the winner of the sports festival."

The crowd had started to cheer. The crowd was particularly fond of midoriya ever since he won the obstacle race and had been rooting for him to win ever since. But there was one girl that wasn't cheering.
And that was Momo.

2 Hours Later

Midoriya had woken up in the infirmary office with recovery girl next to his side. And as soon as she saw him awake she bopped him on the head with her cane ,"jeez kid your just like all might, getting banged up and having me fix you up."
Midoriya gritted his teeth from the pain and looked around. He was a bit disappointed when he didn't a certain someone standing by his side.
"Are you looking for something?" Midoriya then got flustered a bit. "N-no not exactly, I was just expecting someone to be here."

And as if suddenly on cue someone was knocking on the door. After Recovery girl gave the clear to come in the door opened to reveal all might in his smaller form. "Hello young midoriya are you feeling well?" "Yeah I'm feeling fine thanks to recovery girl"
To be honest midoriya was a bit suprised to see that all might was the first to visit him.
"That's great, also I'd like to congratulate you on winning the sports festival." Midoriya was really surprised at that statement.

"Wait I won!?" "You sure did. After both you and young Bakugo passed out it was determined that Bakugo had received too much damage to have any kind of tie breaker. So they announced you the winner." Midoriya wanted to speak up at that moment but he could tell all might had more things to say.

"And besides to drop off your medal and trophy, I wanted to talk to you about that little outburst." All mights face suddenly grew serious changing the tone of the conversation.

Midoriya didn't want to admit it but he knew exactly what all might was talking about. The image of his friend's blood on his fist was something he wouldn't be able to get out of his mind soon. "If I'm being totally honest with you here all might I really don't know. It felt like I was in a dark space and didn't know what was happening around me." All might stared at the boy before sighing. "Well in any case that was quite the display but I wouldn't advise losing your cool like that again or next time you seriously hurt those around you." Midoriya took all mights words to heart but at the same time he could tell that all might wasn't talking about just this time in particular. Now that he thought about he may of spent a lot of time with all might but at the same time he didn't really know anything about him. Most of the information he knew came from online, he knew nothing about his past.

Midoriya wanted to ask all might if they could meet up at another time to discuss things but before he could get it out another person knocked on the door and came into the room.

"Y-yaoyorozu?" "Hello midoriya." Midoriya was a bit worried with the way that yaoyorozu greeted him. He expected her to be more worried about him, or maybe even mad for getting so hurt again, but she spoke to him without any feeling.

All might seeing yaoyorozu thought it best to give both the young heroes some alone time. "We should check up on Bakugo in the other room recovery girl."
With that all might practically dragged recovery girl out of the room.

It was silent in the room, both afraid to speak first. "Momo I'm sorry for getting so hur-" "please don't call me that midoriya" just then midoriya's heart sank, it felt as if everything he had known in life was a lie and that he had just been betrayed by the person he trusted most.
"W-what do you mean by that?" Midoriya sat up in a quick motion while asking his question which caused yaoyorozu to step back in fear, and midoriya took note of that.
"I just... don't think that I can trust you right now." With every word coming out of yaoyorozu's mouth deku could feel his heart break more and more. The person he trusted most in life besides his own mother was turning her back on him. Midoriya's eyes turned more cold and distant by the second, he didn't want to be seen by anyone for the moments to come. "Just why yaoyorozu?" "Because of what you did to Bakugo. If you can't keep yourself if check you'll end up hurting your friends... end up hurting me." Midoriya was stunned that yaoyorozu had said that. Was it true? If he didn't learn how to control himself he'd end up hurting her and the others.

"Y-yaoyorozu please" when midoriya looked up he could see streams of tears flowing down yaoyorozu's cheeks. "I'm sorry midoriya." After that yaoyorozu ran out of the room crying.

Midoriya didn't know how to feel after that. He was sad but he didn't cry. He was mad at himself for not being better. He may of won the sports festival but he still lost something.

All because of Bakugo

No. He couldn't think like that. He couldn't all of a sudden blame this on another person. He had to take responsibility for this. He had to confront this truth no matter how much it hurt.

And it hurt a lot.
