Yaoyorozu had awoken from her slumber. And even though she had gotten a full night's rest she still looked like she barely got a wink of sleep. Yaoyorozu dragged herself out of bed and into the bathroom to get ready for the day.

As She made her way down the steps, she felt arms wrapping around her and then a sudden lack of air.

"Helloooooooo sweetie, how's my favorite daughter in the whole world!" Momo did her best to at least loosen the grip from her mother's bear hug to get some oxygen back into her system. "I'm fine Mom." Her mother looked back at her with a stern glare not believing the lie she just told."Okay, I won't pry, at least for now, just know you can trust me okay." Momo almost let out a sigh of relief, of all the things she could've talked about her problems were not at the top of the list.

"I'll be a bit late coming home today, I have to run some errands after work today." With that, her mother kissed her on the cheek and left the house. Well, house is a bit of an understatement, Mansion fits the bill better. After Momo decided she didn't want breakfast, she left the estate and headed off to school.

When she walked into class she saw the usual, Bakugo screaming, Kirishima talking about being manly, Aoyama talking about being beautiful, and a certain Green-haired boy jotting something down in his signature notebook.

They both met eyes but immediately looked elsewhere. Momo rushed to her seat and put her head down without causing a scene, but one person was able to see through her. "Hey yaomomo, are you alright?" She picked her head up and saw her closest female friend. "Yeah, I'm alright Jirou." "Yeah right, I can see the misery and despair on your face." Momo thought about it for a second and looked as if she was going to speak. Until.

"Everyone shut up and get in your seats." Everybody immediately sat upright and stared straight ahead. "Good. First, I want to tell you everyone about the internships." Aizawa lets up the projector screen to reveal writing on the board. "Written up here are how many offers you got for your performance in the sports festival.

Todoroki- 4,123
Bakugo-3,556
Midoriya-3,555

The class started to whisper among themselves "Even though Todoroki and Bakugo both lost to Midoriya they still got more offers?" "It might be because they have better control over their quirk." "Or because of Midoriya's outburst." The class went silent before Aizawa started to speak again. "You have until the end of the day to pick which internship you want to go to, class dismissed."

"Sooooooooo... Considering you got 108 offers who do you plan on going with?" Jirou turned back around expecting an answer but was met with a sad-looking Momo looking at Midoriya. "Did something happen between you and Midoriya?" Momo suddenly jumped up like she had been scared by a ghost. "N-no, Nothing happened at all between It was then Iida sped by and dropped off a packet that listed all of the heroes that requested them for the internship. Before Momo picked up her packet Jirou was able to get a quick peek at one of the names

Snipe

Jirou looked up to see Momo yet again staring at a certain boy. 'She's so focused on Midoriya that she's not even looking at the paper.' Jirou stood up while grabbing her bag, "Well I'm gonna head out now. You should work out any problems with Midoriya before you make your choice though." Momo's eyes widen, "P-problems? With Midoriya? I don't know what you're talking about." Jirou looked at Momo with a stern glare clearly not believing a word out of her mouth. "Sure you don't, just make sure you don't have any regrets after the internship."

As Momo watched her leave she realized that the entire class had left. She quickly packed her bag, stood up, and walked towards the door. But right as she was about to open it, the door was opened from the other side. Momo's eyes widened in surprise at who she saw. The green-haired boy that's been the main thing on her mind was now right in front of her. They both looked a bit uncomfortable, either side not knowing what to say to the other.

"I-I'm sorry I got in your way." Midoriya stepped aside. "N-no it's my fault." Momo quickly walks past Midoriya so he can go in. "I had forgotten something in the classroom so I had to come back and get it." Momo tried to speak, but her mouth and throat feel dry, and no words come to mind. Midoriya grabbed the item he previously had forgotten and had begun walking back to the door. They looked at each other for what seemed to be an eternity. "Did you get your stuff Deku?" Suddenly Ochako appeared, questioning if Deku had gotten the stuff he said he forgot earlier. "Oh hey Yaoyorozu, I didn't know you were here too."
"Oh yes, I lost track of time and was just leaving."

Yaoyorozu quickly left with her head held down. 'I wasn't able to tell him..." tears began to form in her eyes. 'He was right there and I couldn't say a thing, I'm such an idiot.' Momo ran out of the school and back home cursing herself for missing the perfect chance to apologize.

Unbeknownst to every one a certain earphone jack gal was listening in on everything. Jirou wasn't just gonna sit by and let her friend suffer, so she decided to figure out what was happening by herself.

Jirou waited at the front of the school, she already had a plan in mind from the information she gathered. Just then a trio walked out of the front gate, the class rep, the bubbly girl, and the famous glass cannon.

"Hey, Midoriya can I talk to you for a sec, alone?" She could see how he physically jumped. "S-sure I don't mind." 'This guy is a nervous wreck.' They walked over to an out-of-earshot distance and started talking. 'I don't want to intervene with their personal conflicts so I'll just steer them in the right direction.' "So Midoriya, I wanted to ask you, a friend of mine in a different class got a couple of offers from some known heroes and couldn't decide who she wanted to go with. Would you give me your opinion on the hero she should pick?"

Midoriya took a look at the list that Jirou had made, it had a couple of good options but by far the best would be this one. "I would have to choose Snipe." "Hmm? And why is that?" "Well depending on the person going, getting training from Snipe could be a huge benefit due to observation of your surroundings, and mutter mutter mutter mutter mutter mutter-" "Woah woah woah, okay I think I got all that I needed thanks Midoriya." "R-right, no problem."

After saying their goodbyes Jirou ran back into the school. 'Good now I'll submit both Yaomomo and I'd Internship forms."

Back With Momo

Momo came back home with tears down her face, she slowly stumbled back into her room and fell on her bed, letting the soft comfort of the bed consume her. 'I have no one to blame but myself, I pushed him away, and when I had my chance I was too scared to take it.' Feeling despair, Momo there was nothing she could do to stop the tears from flowing while entering a slumber.
