Holden had gotten up for school at 7:50, went down to the kitchen, made some toast, got dressed, got some money for lunch and he was out the door for 8:30. He lit his first cigarette of the day and he met up with Axel to walk to school. "Hey", Axel said, waving at Holden who walked up to him. "Only like one more day until Friday", Holden said with joy in his voice. "Can't come soon enough", Axel admitted, also lighting a cigarette."I'm bringing some stuff to enhance the experience", Holden said, laughing after he said it. Axel smiled and waved as he spotted Toby. Toby walked up to his friends and greeted them. "I can't wait for this camping trip", Toby said, "I really need a break". "Don't we all", Holden said, taking the last drag of his cigarette and throwing it in someone's garden. "It's going to be awesome", Axel said, "I finally found my tent so we can all spend the night in there"."Is that the 6 men one?", Toby asked as they turned the corner and the school was in sight.Axel nodded, "Yep, we all have a room each and space to spare". Holden punched the air, they were all excited for the trip.

When the trio reached the school, they had to split up to get to their respected lockers. Holden had a top locker in the library, Axel had a bottom in the back of the English classroom, and Toby had a top one outside the assembly hall. Toby had Science first, Axel had maths, and Holden had History. Toby loved Science and wanted to go to college and be a doctor. Axel wanted to join the military while Holden had no idea what he wanted to do, but he knew he'd figure it out. Just as Holden was about to head back to his friends, the school bell rang to tell the kids to get to class. Holden sighed and he slung his school bag over his shoulder and headed upstairs to the History room. He lazily walked up the stairs and finally got in and took his seat in the middle row of the classroom by the window. He hated his History teacher, Mr Mayers. Holden put his books out on the table and then put his head down. Holden hoped today and the next day would go quick, but in the meantime, he would have to think of excuses to tell his parents why he would be away for two nights and three days. But then again, Holden didn't think they would care. "Okay guys", Mr Mayers said on the dot of 9:01. Holden sighed and looked out the window. It was time to tune out.
