In between the fights with angels and demons, Sam and Dean were getting some rest at the bunker. Castiel was off with Jack teaching him about Heaven. Sam was on his laptop researching the Men of Letters and how their family was connected. Dean was lounging reading one of his classic car magazines.

"Hey Sammy, I think I found something for us to go check out! Get this 'Millionaire and rare vintage car collector buys '58 Plymouth Fury with a body count.' Says it is from Pennsylvania and was supposedly compacted in 1978."

"I don't know, Dean. Sounds like it was just a fancy headline. How can a car have a body count?"

"It says that they linked it with 2 deaths in the late '50s and a bunch in '78, Not much on that in this article. Just goes on to talk about how this guy has a ranch in Maine where he has all his cars. The panning from cars in the '20s all the way through the '80s in all American makes and all models. Cool! I need to see this place!"

"Focus Dean! I'll do some digging. Does it say where in Pennsylvania it all happened?"

"Uhhh...Libertyville!"

"Okay, Libertyville, Pennsylvania 1978. 8 mysterious deaths all connected to a red '58 Plymouth Fury. Belonged to 17-year-old Arnold "Arnie" Cunningham, went to Libertyville High, standard smart, good student, and your typical unpopular nerd. He was one of the last deaths along with his parents. He and his mother in a car accident and his father an apparent suicide in the Fury. The other deaths were the local bullies that regularly picked on Arnie and the owner of 'Darnell's Do-It-Yourself Garage'. The only survivors were Arnie's best friend Dennis Guilder and his ex-girlfriend Leigh Cabot. The reports of the deaths are strange. Witnesses report seeing the car driving itself around. Murders taking place when Arnie was out of town and one where the Fury was seen driving around fully on fire."

"I don't know Sammy, sounds like our kind of spooky. It will at least get us out of the bunker. C'mon!! Road trip. Hunting a monster like old times."

"Let's see if we can find out some more information from Leigh and Dennis."

Sam and Dean started looking for contact information. Sam found Leigh in New Mexico and Dean found Dennis in New Jersey. Both made phone calls pretending to be Libertyville historians. Leigh told Sam to never call again, Arnie and Libertyville were in her past and that's where they need to stay, and hung up on him. Dean talked to Dennis and agreed to meet them and tell them the story of what happened to his friend. The boys packed up the Impala and headed for New Jersey.

Dennis welcomed the brothers to his home. They sat and talked for hours about Arnie and the summer and fall of 1978. They worked on a construction crew to earn some money. Arnie was saving to buy a car. One day after work they came across an old beat-up Fury. it seemed to call to Arnie. The guy he bought it from said she was called Christine. From the moment he got her, she overtook his life. He spent months fixing her and making her drivable. He traded running shady errands for Darnell the owner of the Fix-It-Yourself garage for parts to fix Christine. Not only was Christine getting fixed but Arnie was changing too. His complexion cleared up, he stopped wearing his glasses and dressed cooler. Because of this, he got his first girlfriend. Even more freaky stuff happened. It seemed like Christine was jealous of Leigh or anyone that took Arnie away from her. She seemingly tried to kill Leigh by locking her doors while Leigh choked on a hamburger on her and Arnie's first date. After seeing Arnie gain confidence with the car, Buddy Repperton and his gang went to Darnell's garage and destroyed the car. According to Arnie, Christine fixed herself right in front of his eyes. After that, all the guys who helped destroy her started dying in mysterious accidents. Then Christine set her sights on Dennis and Leigh. By then she had Arnie under her full control. That's when Dennis and Leigh had to get rid of Christine. They lured her to Darnell's. She tried to run down both of them. Any attempt to wreck her didn't slow her down. Then Dennis got into the bulldozer and ran it into and over Christine trapping her under it. It kept her subdued long enough to compact her and separate her into parts.
