Momo chirps as the four friends approach a sign in the woods. "This should give us a good idea of what's around here," Katara says.
"See if you can find a menu. I'm starving."
Aang races forward, pressing a finger against one of the posters. "I bet we'll find something to eat here- the Fire Days festival. Fire Nation cultural exhibits, jugglers, benders, magicians... this would be a great place for me to study some real Fire Benders."
"You might want to re-think that," Sokka says. "Look at this."
"Hey, a poster of me!"
"A wanted poster. This is bad."
"I think we should keep moving." (Y/N) says, looking at Aang. "While the festival sounds fun and all, it's way too risky."
"I have to learn Fire Bending at some point, and this could be my only chance to watch some masters up close." Aang reasons, looking at all the siblings.
"I guess we could go check it out." (Y/N) mumbles. "We would need disguises, though."
"What?! You want to walk into a Fire Nation town when they're all fired up with all their, you know, fire?"
"Like (Y/N) said, we'll wear disguises. And if it looks like trouble, we'll leave." Katara says, walking back to Appa.
"Yeah, because we always leave before we get the trouble." Sokka sarcastically mumbles, following the others.
The four of them walk to a cliff overlooking the village. Aang turns to Appa and Momo, "You guys stay out of sight here while we go to the festival." At those words, Momo flies off of Appa and into a bush, effectively hiding. Appa takes the cue from Momo and attempts to hide behind the same shrub, which barely hides his face. Aang smiles at this nonetheless. "Ready disguises."
Sokka, Katara, and (Y/N) all flick up their hoods, while Aang puts his head into his shirt and smiles, making him look slightly ridiculous. "It's like you're a whole different person." Sokka teases.
"Let's go!"

As the four walk into the village, they notice they stand out as everyone is wearing masks. "I think we need some new disguises," Katara suggests.
"Yeah..." (Y/N) mumbles.
"Where are we gonna get masks like that?"
"Get your genuine Fire-Festival masks here!" A man yells out from behind a stand.
"That was surprisingly easy."
The four picked out their masks from the stands, swapping Aang's and Sokka's to fit their personalities better. Katara's was a simple women's face, with red lips, eyes, and a hat depicted on the mask. Sokka's, the one he traded for Aang's, was a mesh of warm colors making up a frowning face. Aang's had a blue base with a broad smile and yellow leaves surrounding the mask, reminiscent of the sun. (Y/N)'s was an away of colors, the base colors being steel blue and a deep red. The sun was depicted on the forehead and a lotus blossom flower on the chin, with eyebrows drawn above the eye cut-outs.
Once the group got their disguise's situation sorted, they walked further into the village. "Hey, there's some food."
"Finally!" Sokka exclaimed, pushing past Aang to get to the stall he was pointing to. "What do you have?" Sokka asks the man running the food stall.
"Flaming fire flakes. Best in town."
"I'll take 'em." Sokka eagerly shoves the fire flakes into his mouth, taking no regard for how they steamed before him. Sokka screams from the pain of the food. "Oh, hot, hot!"
