PAGE 2: Friendship

LUCAS' POV

I sighed as I listened to Maria Ada. I know she has been deeply in love with him since the first day of college, but I can't believe it will lead to this point. Maria Ada Bellini and I have been neighbors since we were little. Time goes by, we get close to each other, she's my girl best friend. And those times, I have seen Ada broken hearted multiple times, she never once experienced being crushed back. She's not ugly, she's kind, helpful, friendly, smart and a bit rebellious. Maybe she doesn't have any luck in terms of love life. On our first day of college, I saw her having a crush again, but now it's different. She's being consistent on this one. Ada even gave him a necklace, a flower, a love letter and answered assignments, indirectly.

As I heard Alexios' announcement, I didn't hesitate to focus my attention on Ada. She can't fool me, even her smile is wider than mine, she can't lie that she's hurt right now. As I was done eating, I went to Alexios, I better have a word with him.

"Hey, congratulations! Can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked. Alexios and I went to the part of the villa where there are less people. "So, what do you want to talk about Lucas?" He smiled while waiting for me to speak. "Do you really like Tatiana, dude?" I asked him seriously. He just laughed, did I say something funny? "Are you serious dude? Yes! I like her." He claimed. Now, I am really worried about Ada. "We already slept together last night." He whispered with a playful smile on his lips.

"What?" I asked in a low voice.

"What do you mean 'what'?" Does it mean...

"Really, then congrats! I'm happy for you dude." I patted his back and smiled. I need to find Maria. As soon as my conversation with Alexios ended, I started looking for Ada. When I take a glance at the window, that woman is slowly walking out of the villa. I begin to scream her name and run towards her.

""Ada, I have something to tell you. I think Alexios didn't remember that you're the girl from last night? He thought that woman was Tatiana. You can tell him to-" She didn't let me finish when she suddenly hugged me. "It's all right, you don't need to do this Lucas." She said and kissed my cheek. "I gotta go, I have to find someone better than him." She said before she walked away. I didn't stop her, I guess she just wanted some time to be alone. "Be okay, Ada. He's not worth it."
