PAGE 13: Abort It

MARIA ADA'S POV

As soon as I heard the doorbell of my newly bought apartment, I opened it to see Alexios looking so worried. He hugged me tightly, I can feel his breath on the side of my neck. "I am sorry for what happened last time, Maria. I am really sorry." He tightened the hug more. I tapped his back to give him a signal to let go and he actually let go.

"I want you to answer all of my questions today." I don't have time to think about other things and I actually tell him the truth why I ask him to come over. I walk and take a seat on the sofa without telling him to do the same. He remained standing in front of me.

"Is Tatiana pregnant?" I asked him directly. He looked surprised, but he answered. I can't hear his explanations clearly as my thoughts and anger start to consume me. Staring at him now made me feel disgusted. My heart feels like it is being crumpled. "Abort it." I said in the middle of his unheard explanation.

"What did you say?" He asked me.

"Tell her to abort it. Is it too hard, Alexios?" I asked him back. Now he looks confused. "Maria, why would I do such a thing?" I sighed at his reply.

"Leave." I said nonchalantly.

"No, we're not yet done here, Ada. Tell me, why would I tell her?" He asked again. I didn't answer him, instead I grabbed the telephone beside the sofa. "Leave, I don't want to see you again. If you won't leave, I'll just call the guards to drag you out."

"Ada, please. Let's talk." He begged. I press something on the telephone. When he noticed it, he just looked me in the eye one last time and started to walk his way out of the room. As I saw the door closed, my tears started to fall. He still chose that bitch over me. If I only knew this would happen between us, I probably would never have started things with him. "I'm sorry, my child. I can't be with your papa anymore. He chose Tatiana over us."

TATIANA'S POV

"Constan-" I quickly answered the call when I saw Constantine's name on my phone. I guess he got into another argument with Ada. My plan is going well. "What did you say to Ada?" He asked. "What do you mean, Constantine? I just told her that I am pregnant." I replied, I heard a sigh in the other line.

"Let's meet in Crown Shy, now. I'll wait for you." He said and ended the call. I smirked while imagining what happened between those two. I thought their relationship had a strong foundation that needed a few months to break, but now, I think they just broke-up. I stepped out of the house and started to drive.

Just when I start driving, heavy rain starts pouring. I can't clearly see the road. I also forgot to bring an umbrella, who cares, I need to meet Constantine. This is my chance to finally get him back. When I step on the accelerator, a woman just suddenly runs towards the road. To my surprise, I quickly stepped on the brake. Oh my Gosh! Did I just hit someone? I got out of my car and immediately walked towards the lady.

"Oh God, are you alright Ma'am?" I said to the woman, she looks like she is in her late 40's. The moment she lifted her head up, I began to panic. There's blood on her forehead. I helped her to get up. "I'm so sorry Ma'am, let's go to the hospital. Let me help you check."

"No, it's all right. I have to go somewhere else. Thank you for your concern." She said, When she finally got up, she quickly left me. I stared at the lady walking away from me when I heard someone honked. I go back inside of my car and drive.
