MARIA ADA'S POV

TWO MONTHS LATER

"Oh God, what have I done?" Two lines. I covered my face with my one hand when I saw the result of the pregnancy test. One more month, then I will graduate in college and this happened. "You know what, your father is having a good time with his girlfriend. What will I do with you?" I said while looking at my flat stomach. I have to tell my parents about it, no matter what.

As for the usual dinner, my father went home from work and also my mom. Both of them are well-known business persons. My father owned several restaurants in Japan and here in New York. While my mother, owns several banks in New York. Unfortunately, they just gifted an only child. I was trained in the business world, but they didn't want me to pressure myself to be like them. Despite having these kinds of parents, I'm still grateful to still have them.

"Mom, dad, I have something to tell you, guys." I exhaled deeply. Both of them started to pay attention to me. I can do this!

"I am pregnant, I'm so so sorry. I know both of you are disappointed. Your only child got pregnant one month before her graduation, don't worry, I will get rid of this." I announced it straight to them.

"You're pregnant?" My father asked.

"Yes, dad." I cried. I know they really are disappointed to me.

"Congratulations! I'm so proud of you, my daughter." Eh? What the hell? Am I hearing right? Did my mother congratulate me, just now? I glared to the other side of the table, to see that my father was crying.

"Dad, why are you crying? I said, "I will get rid of it." Seeing my father cry makes me want to cry too. "Why would you get rid of it? That child is a Bellini, you can't just abort it!" WHAAAAAT?! I sarcastically laughed at their reaction. "Are you kidding me? Mom! Dad! I'm dead serious over here! Your only daughter just got pregnant, both of you didn't even know who's the father, don't I deserve a scolding?" I screamed. Both of them stayed silent for a couple of minutes, when my mother held my hand.

"Maria Ada, dear, you're too precious to us. Yes, we're disappointed, but it doesn't hide the fact that we're also happy at the same time. Expecting soon, there will be a little Ada playing in here, makes us happier. Your father and I won't pressure you to tell us who's the baby daddy. You and your child, together with us, we are still a family." I stood up from my seat and hug my mom. My father also stood up and joined our hug. "Thanks Mom and Dad. I love you both."

"Just don't abort it, dear, understood?" My father asked. And I smiled. "Why would I? I also want to see my child in the future, especially now that you both want a grandchild." They chuckled and hugged me again.
