Chapter Thirty-one: Save

Flying to the peak of the vast place, to the tower where The Orchizens were. I barged with a loud crash and before anyone tried to stop me I spoke out. Not for me, but her. I begged them to help. She really didn't have much time.

"I will give anything for her sake. Please!"

"We know you have faced hardships because you like her- " I was so worked up that I ended up cutting them.

"I am in love with her! I forced myself to stay away from her, really. God knows I did. But I could not for long. She means everything to me. I hate your stupid rules." I shouted.

"Enough! They shouted.

At this point, I was bought to my senses and realised I might have blown my chance here. This was The Orchizen after all. I think I just blew my only chance. My head lowered a bit and I sank in guilt.

Wrong people to get mad at, for the first time too.

They began to speak and I felt all sorts of nervous, "We are aware." they said.

I kept listening silently, "You are strong and a fighter. A different one out of the batch I'd say."

Where are they going with this?

I thought as I prayed hard for a miracle under my breath.

"We tried to save you Jungkook. We thought if we could remove your memories of her, all this would end the easy way and no one would have to get hurt. The spell we set upon you is incredibly powerful, but your love holds twice as much power. Seeing you walk in, with the girl, we were surely left spellbound. You fought through for her. We're impressed, and so we will grant you any wish you desire." I gleamed with joy.

"I wish for health and happiness for our future family." I closed my eyes.

"But there is a price you need to pay for disobedience. You know what it is. Do you wish to choose your wish over your life as an angel?"

"No."

"Then after today, you will get to live a life of happiness and health with her as a human."

(um..what is this sh!t? I'm crying. It's bad.)

I felt Y/N shuffle slightly against me as she fluttered her eyes open but doesn't say anything. She slowly stepped on the ground (everything I need is On The Ground.)

"OMG I've always wanted to go to Jamaica!" she squealed.

"Is she okay?" I asked worriedly.

"Presumably a side effect of some sort but it'll wear off soon."

"Uncle Shmuel? Uncle is that you?" she sobbed and started walking straight ahead.

"Please leave before we change our minds." said one of them while the others struggled to hold in a laugh.

I chuckled slightly too and rushed towards her to carry her by the waist. She held back at first but later dosed off. I said my apologies and both thanked them as well after which I flew away from that place.

The wind was steady and the clouds looked like pure white balls of cotton floating in the sky.

"Dont worry, I won't drop you." I said when I felt her wake up

"where are we going?" she asked hesitantly.

"Just one of the places I go to, to clear my thoughts."

"One of them? Where are the rest?"

"I have the rest of my life to show you, no rush." I smiled slightly.

We reached a hill at the boundary of the city. The skyline from up there was beautiful with the sound of the crashing ocean a big bonus. The breeze was just perfect and the air smelled fresh.

I carefully placed her down and glanced at her. Everything happened so fast I need a moment to take it all in. After so long, my deepest wish was granted and it was all worth the pain.

"I didn't do it." I said and her expressions dropped more than they were.

She did not say anything and continued to keep her gaze low like trying hard to suppress her anger.

"You entered at the wrong time."

"Because you did not get enough time to slit my dad's throat and kill him too?! Why are we even here? Let me fucking go, I have the battle to win!"

"What you saw was purely a defensive instinct. And we lost."

"How?? I need to get back." she said cutting her sentence short.

"You can not do anything about it, let it go. I want you to know the truth about your sister's death."

"You are a fucking murderer and you don't get to mention her. Stay away from me. I thought you are different but I was so very wrong. You are among those selfish humans who infest this world." her eyes were teary at this point.

"I entered the cornered room after your father. I saw him uncover her body."

"Stop!"

"Your father attacked me after knowing I was there with him. He screamed how I was not supposed to enter that room. I was infuriated after seeing the sight in front of me. I know you have a soft spot for your sister. He stabbed me with his knife but I managed to snatch it from him."

"Are you out of your mind? I will not hear another word about my fam- "

"The wound was deep, I still have the scar."

"You really think that will make me believe your story?"

"I'm not bluffing. Then tell me, what did your father say about the incident?"

"N-nothing. He ignores it but that's because he's sensitive about the topic."

"What makes you so sure?" I asked though I could sense she's uncertain.

"I swear by the billion stars I would never do anything to hurt you. Look at me."

I bought my lips to her forehead a pressed a kiss on it which made her look at me with her sparkly eyes. We stared into each other's eyes and our faces inched closer before our mouths connected. I made sure to be gentle and careful. The kiss was slow yet meaningful as I tried to savour every second of it.
