Meredith's POV:
Lately Cormac has been acting really weird and I have no idea why. I'm starting to get worried. As I was walking to his office I saw him on the phone. I wanted to talk to him but didn't know how to approach him. I open his door and walk in. As soon as he saw me he immediately hung up the phone. " Hey who were you talking too?" I ask curiously. " No one babe" he says walking over to me and kissing me on the lips. I knew he was hiding something from me but decided not to push it. " Wanna go grab a coffee?" He asks. " Sure" I said and we walked out.

Cormac's POV:
Me and Meredith were drinking coffee outside. It was really beautiful day but I could tell something was bothering her. I knew what it was about. It was about me. I can't tell her. It'll only hurt her. I have to keep this a secret for her sake. I look at my phone and get a message. It was a picture of me and Meredith.
- You look so cute too bad I have to hurt her.- It said.

Dammit. - What do you want? I reply.

- Break up with her and she'll live. It said.

I look at her just drinking her coffee and decide to ignore it. I need to focus on her. It was a bad idea just to stay in Seattle for as long as I did. It was a bad idea. I have to break up with her. I look at her face. She looks happy but she knows I'm hiding something but I need to find a reason to break up with her. Being with her was a dream. But we all know dreams end and reality comes in. Just a touch from her is a dream come true. But it has to end. " Hey can we talk in the on call room?" I ask her. " Sure" she replies. We go and throw away our coffee and head to the on call room. 

Meredith's POV:
We walk in the on call room and he locks the door. He turns and looks at me with a serious face. " It's over" he said. I just look at him confused. " What?" I ask. " me and you, it's over." He told me. I just felt my heart shatter. " What why?" I ask confused. " I met someone else" he said. I just stood their with tears in my eyes not know what to do. He then just walks out of the room leaving me with tears. He left me. That's why he's been acting weird. He met someone else. I wasn't enough. I wasn't enough for him.

Cormac's POV:
I did it. I left the room before she could tell I was lying. I walked back to my office and cirrus on my couch. I open my phone and text the number.

- I broke up with her. I reply.

I hate this. I needed to do this before something breaks that cannot be fixed. If she found out I was lying about my past she would never forgive me for not telling her. This is the only way to protect her and her family. I got up and just threw everything everywhere. I needed to do this for her. I need to protect her.

Meredith's POV:
I left early and went to the only person i needed in this moment. I ring on the doorbell and open it to see Maggie. " Hey Maggie, can we talk?" I ask. "Sure" she said letting me in her new apartment. " I'm sorry for everything I did and said" I tell her. " It's okay I'm sorry too." She said. " What are you doing here?" She asks. I just look at her and cry. " Hey whats wrong ?" She asks. ñ " Cormac broke up with me." I tell her. She pulls me in a hug and i just cry. We finally pull apart and she looks at me. " You want some strawberry ice cream?" She asks. " Do you even have some?" I ask. " Yes" she said and walked to the freezer to give it to me. I walk over to the couch and just cry. She hands me the ice cream and we share it and watch movies for the rest of the day until I had to go home to my kids.
