Cormac's POV:
           I have to tell them. As I grabbed Jasper and took him with me in a car and we started to drive off, I began to worry about how they would react.  We finally reached our destination and I grabbed him out the back seat and walked in. I see Phil and gave him jasper. " Where are they?" I asked Phil. " They're in the game room" he said. I walked over to the game room to see them all having fun playing together. They looked so much older and happy. But I knew that was all about to fade away as soon as I tell them what happened to mer. I walk in and see them. Ellis eyes meet mine and she runs over as I bend down and we hug. " Cor, i missed you" She said while hugging me. " Awww, I missed you too." I tell her. We pull out of the hug and I see the rest of the kids and we all hug. " Hey does mom know your here?" Liam asked. I looked at them trying not to tear up. " Take a seat, I have to tell you something." I told them and they went and sat down. " Look your mom wanted to protect each and everyone of you, no matter what. She wanted y'all to have the best life and see you guys grow up but things don't always go as planned. She um she died." I tell them as I let a tear fall down. " What?!" Liam asked. While the rest of them were fighting back tears. " How?" Zola asked. " Let's not discuss this right now." I said. " No let's say it now!" Liam stood up and yelled. " I didn't know who she was and I was a completely different person and I lost my memory but that's a different story. When I finally realized who she was it- it was to late. They um cut her well you know." I say crying. Liam looked at me with this look I never seen from him. He walked away and out the door. As Bailey and Ellis were hugging and crying. Zola was crying with Austin. I went after him to the drive way. " Liam!" I say. He turns around and looks at me with tears in his eyes. " You took her from us, you were the person to protect her but instead you got her killed! You and your crazy family!" He said. " Hey don't talk to your father like that!" I hear from behind me and see Phil. " No I deserve it" I say. Liam turns around and punches me. I fell to the ground. He punches me over and over again until Phil pulls him off of me. " You took her from us!" He yelled as he walked back into the house. Phil sat on the ground with me. " You know this wasn't your fault." He said. " It was I should've never brought her into this, I knew better. If I had just stayed away then none of this would've happened and she would be alive." I tell him. " No she wouldn't" he said. " What?" I ask confused. " One day when we were drinking she told me how you saved her from herself, that without you she probably wouldn't have made it. So no she wouldn't have. I know this is the last thing you want to hear but I fell in love with her." He said. I looked at him for a second. " Yeah, yeah I know she loved you but she was the most beautiful soul I ever met. So me not killing you right now is how you know this wasn't her fault." He said. " I figured that might happened and I wanted it too, for selfish reasons. I knew if you loved her then you would protect her no matter what. I knew she would be in good hands." I admit. " How did you know that would happen?" He asked. " Well who wouldn't fall in love with Meredith Grey?" I told him. We chuckle as we stare into the sky thinking about her.

Flashback: 2 years ago.
" Cor!" Meredith yelled as I jumped off the cliff into the water. " Try it!" I yelled. " Are you trying to get me killed?" She asked. " You know I would never do anything to endanger you." I yelled up to her. She took off her clothes except her bra and panties and jumped. I swam over to her and grab her. " Fun isn't it?" I ask. She just laughs . It starts to rain as I look at her.  I then kiss her. " I'll love you until forever ends." I tell her. " And I'll love you until forever ends." She told me and we kissed like we never kissed before as the rain poured.

Present time:
I get up off the ground and walk into the house and see jasper with Liam. Liam looks at me and I see all the pain in his eyes. I know him and Meredith became very close when I was gone. " Can I see him?" I ask. He hands me jasper and I carry him. " Sorry for punching you." He said. " You had every right I deserved it, after everything that happened." I tell him. We both just watch jasper play with his toy. God I wish Meredith was here. This was hell. But I know that I need to keep going forward to protect jasper for her. I owe her that.

Phil's POV: 1 year ago

Flashback: Phil's room:
      " Hey can I come in?" Meredith asked. " Sure." I said. She then sat on the bed next to me. " It's been a crazy ass year." She said. " Yea it has been." I agree with her. We both look at eachother in silence until I kiss her. She instantly pulled away. " I can't do that." She said. " I love Cormac, trust me I have felt a type of way for you but it'll always be Cormac." She said. I look at her even though I know she just rejected me I can't help but see her as an angel. She was beautiful. I finally snapped out of my trance. " I know I'm sorry about that." I apologized. " It's okay. Wanna watch a movie?" She suggests. I nod and she gets up to put the movie on.

Present time:

" It'll always be Cormac." I whisper to myself. I knew she would never love me as much as him but I did know that she cared about me and that's all that matters. I have to stay and help Cormac with the kids. I know she would want that. " I promise Meredith, I'll look after them." I then got up and walked inside to see what the kids were up too. I sat next to Zola who looked like she just stopped crying and hugged her and the rest of them. Cormac and Liam came in with jasper and sat down. We all just stay in silence hugging each other. I will fight for her. For Meredith.
