Here we go Again

"WTF??" Aron bursts through the door towards me. "What are you mad about!?" I'm irritated. "I thought he was your cousin? Brother? and then you people come out so casually that you are dating?! Wtf, Celest?!" he's yelling. "That still doesn't explain why you are mad yelling at me, jerkass!!" I raise my voice.
"Because you lied."
I turn to the person who spoke it. Sam.

"Look-"

"No one asked for your explanation. He is obviously not your cousin. Why lie about it??"

"Gosh, is this even that serious, and what do you mean 'obviously'? You think he's too good to be even related to me??"

"What?! How can you just swerve it back at me??" Sam is loud.
Aron slowly backs off.

"I can explain."

"With lies I presume. You... Are different, you never tell me what's going on with you anymore. That nonstop chatter about your day-to-day everything has just paused and I can't help but guess that you now have a secret personal life you can't tell me about. Turns out, you have a boyfriend. It's not that you can't tell me, I guess you just don't want to anymore. I liked my old BFF better."

"What- You have no idea! What if she was a fake? What if this me, the one who keeps things from you is the real version of the one who you thought you knew??"

"Then, I don't want her in my life anymore. Someone who thinks she's all great because she's got a popular lover doesn't deserve my friendship." that's how she walked away, misunderstanding my words. I slump to the floor.

"Should I hit him?" Jet asks me and I glare at him. I turn back to Kesra looking down at me without dropping his eyes. He does that usually, and we have an untold rivalry but of recent, his looks hold meaning, almost like he wants to tell me something. Like he's on the verge of spitting it out but is still processing it, calmly deciding by holding my gaze. I stand up to leave the lunchroom and he stands up in sync followed by Jet.

As I pause in front of my locker, there's no one around because most are having their food around this time. I can see Kesra walk up to me in my peripheral vision and so I turn toward him. I almost jump when an arm slams the locker beside mine in a swift motion to block my view of Kesra. I hiss at Jet trying to protect me like I am some damsel who's desperate. Kesra smirks as he says three words and walks away as silently as he came.
"I remember, Amethyst."

"How??" I ask as Saph ruffles through her pile of books, "Your arrival has unlocked deep facts we weren't aware of but a human remembering the gemma realm? That's just not possible! Humans have come here a lot, because of not-so-rare gems who have no respect for rules, so it's not a one-time time thing to juggle around possibilities. This just can't happen. It's against nature. Imagine all humans remembering. The balance could be shaken! Amet, sure it's only him?" "Positive," I say. "Stay close. There's a need to know." Zuli advises me. Stay close to what? Kesra? Ain't happening.

I know I don't want anything to do with the guy I've spent hating for so long for no reason but I can't stop rushing to him on this dull morning. "Kesra!" I call out and every eye on Earth stops on us. Oops, too loud, a big no-no. "Mmm?" he turns around with his hand in his pocket and flips his sleek hair. "Nice outfit." I point at his red hoodie worn with khaki trousers, and he looks down before he says, "Thanks."
*awkward*

I can hear people mumbling about how I'm so desperate these days. And suddenly it felt painful. I try so hard to be not detested but by the end of the day, everyone likes to pick my dirt. I nod to him and as I am about to walk away, something happens, something unusual. Kesra grabs my wrist with a question, "Wanna skip class and grab some iced caffeine?" Well, this guy is someone I do not go well with but boy, does he have my tastes and fun. "Don't have to ask me twice about Cold Latte!" I smile and to everybody's shock, he returns it.

"So.." I start after sitting quietly for a while. Kesra sips his Cappuccino peacefully, closes his eyes, and sighs before a response, "That could have gone less dramatic though, but that's not the elephant in the room, right?" I shake my head vigorously and he stifles a laugh. In a quick unexpected motion, he stands from his chair, bends over the table, our faces just inches apart, and he breathes, "I find you very amusing, and interesting to observe, day in and day out. How can you not see it?" He tucks my hair behind my ear? Wait, what's going on? I clear my throat and put on my innocent face, "See what?"
"That I-"

Someone grabs him by the collar and pulls him up and his chair falls backward. Around the same time, I hear the bell in the door clang violently and reveal Aron bursting in. "Shit! What's going on?" I burst. "Are you being serious now? Why on the forking earth are you on a date with this guy?!" Aron screams. Did he just say 'forking'? I smile. "This is not amusing." I hear Jet hiss as he crushes Kesra's collar, his eyes being so dark that I shiver. "Hey! One: This ain't a date! Two: What are you mad about, Aron? Three: This fake girlfriend thing has gone far enough, Jet!" There's silence before another familiar voice breaks it. "Fake girlfriend? I didn't think you'd stoop that low to make me jealous." Dany turns around from the private slot next to us in the Cafe. "The wha- The world doesn't revolve around you!" I am yelling.

"Yea, it's revolving around our little Amethyst, for now." Ruby's poisonous words enter the odd group. Before any of us could put forward one of the million pointless questions she says, "Mission Accomplished." the entire room goes blank, pitch black. Like you are standing in infinity. "The infinity pool? Now Ruby?" I can feel Jet's irritation. "Ah, had to get the job done." her smile is creepy this time. "What's an infinity pool?" Aron questions in happy curiosity. "Timeless space between realms." and the answer is from Kesra. My eyes burn into his.

"I needed my answers. I knew I couldn't get it from you. I remembered. I remembered everything from the last time. No one bothered about it. We were chucked out like waste when the desired product, you, was received. I had questions. When Ruby appeared, I knew I had my answers. All I had to do was to get you here, where the infinity loop happens to pool at this exact time once in an eternity. Deal closed. Plus now I get to go there too." Kesra shrugs. Jet seems less mad and that's ticking me off. Is he used to betrayal? Wait, why does it feel like he's glad Kesra went against me? "Looked like you were expecting him to kiss," Jet says teasingly. I am definitely going to kill this gem.

"Annnndddddd, for the rest of you, your accidental presence comes in handy. Am holding you both hostage to make baby girl stay." she points to Aron and Dany.
"Stay where?" I add.

"Duh, Among Royals."
