Chapter 18:

Libby's POV:

"I wonder how Willow's getting along," Elle says. We're all waiting for Willow to come back from prom, and I hope it's going well. She told me, Jupie, and Cat that she was dating her friend Sophie like right after everyone left that day. I'm really happy for her. It seems like everyone is dating someone. Jupie's dating her friend Skylar, Well actually, Jupie's dating their friend Skylar. (AN: yeah I've kinda been focusing alot on willow and then realizing how much I've missed with the other characters) And Cat's still dating Red. I have to convince Willow to come out. I don't know why she's so nervous. It's not like they'll kick her out or anything. Like all of us are gay in some way. But I get it. She's nervous. I bet she's having a good time though. Hopefully, her friend Quinn isn't giving her such a hard time. Jupie idly turns on the TV, and the news blares, making Cat jump. "Turn it down," she says. "Sorry!" Jupie says. "Who wants to watch news anyways?" Cat says. "Switch it to Heathers," I say, laughing. "I'll switch it, I'll switch it," Jupie says. But then a headline flashes across the screen. Breaking News. Murder at local school. "Wait Jupie, don't switch it," Jessica says, looking worried.

A murder at a local school. This just in. 2 hours ago, at Blue River Middle School, 2 people murdered the attendants of the winter prom that was held there. 55 people were pronounced dead at the scene, and 6 were rushed to the hospital. They are now in critical condition. 1 suspect has been caught and is now in police custody. She is Kenzie Rowan Bennet. We are now searching for the second suspect. Bennet has admitted that it is Quinn Lila Brooks, a fellow classmate in the 9th grade. If you see her anywhere, beware. She is armed and dangerous. Any sighting of her should be reported to the police immediately. Now, a moment of silence for the victims.

"That's Willow's school," Jessica says, turning white. The telephone rings, and there's a mad rush to grab it, to hear any kind of news that we can. Alice grabs it first. The rest of us wait, with bated breath, for the news. Bad or good, we don't know yet. Alice bites her lip, and her hands shake as she says, "Thank you. We'll be there as soon as possible." She hangs up the phone and turns to us. "Well?" Barrett says.

Alice breathes shakily, "Willow... is mainly fine. But she.. She saw all that stuff happen. She's conscious, but she's a bit... traumatized. Jess, you better get over there quick. We all should get there quickly."

The ride is silent, besides Jupie sniffling, this brings back bad memories for her as well. We find Willow in a large room, with several other beds in it, most of them surrounded by sobbing families. I notice some of Willow's classmates. Sophie, Harper, Khloe, Kennedy, and Oliver, surrounded by beeping machines. Willow screams a little when she sees Jess. She can't run, since she's hooked up to some machines. "Mommy!" she yells. Jess rushes over, and Willow sobs into Jess's shoulder. "Shhhh, Mandi, it's ok," Jess says, hugging the sobbing Willow. Through her sobs, Willow tells us the story.

Quinn had teamed up with Kenzie and had shot everyone in the place, leaving only Sophie and Willow left. Kenzie then shot Sophie (her own cousin) and then Quinn had shot Willow. "H-Harper's dead. A-And Avery, and Gabe, and Jake, and Lex, and Emmy, and Sam, and Annabelle!" Willow says, sobbing harder than ever. "A-and now t-the d-doctors say that Sophie i-is c-close to death as well!" She curls up into a little ball, and starts having a panic attack.

We don't notice another woman walk into the room, closely followed by a young girl. But Willow does. "Who are you?" she says through sobs. The older woman sighs. She looks quite young, just a few years older than me. "Willow Amanda Stewart, I'm your biological mother."
