BACK TO HAWKINS WE GO

"mommy! love home!" aurelia runs around as el chuckles, "no running, i don't need you slipping and getting hurt."

she stops and hugs el's legs, "mama." she whispers.

"you want to paint your room, don't you?" el asks and kneels down as she nods.

stroking her hair, el smiles, "we can do that. you can decorate it however you like."

"c-clouds." aurelia pouts, "t-the one on the-"

"tv? we can go by the store and grab the stuff to make it later." el smiles as aurelia nods happily, "actually, we can go grab lunch now and then go to the store."

aurelia nods again and holds her hands out. laughing, el picks her up and walks to the stairs, "dad! let's go grab lunch!"

"at benny's!?" he shouts back and walks down the stairs, "yeah, benny's." she smiles at him as he grabs aurelia from out of her hands, "hey, that's my baby."

"now mine. let's go, i'm hungry as fuck." he says and heads to the door, "no swearing, dad!" she exclaims playfully as he snorts.

"okay, we need to head to the store later to grab some crafts for lia then we need to stock up some groceries. sound good?" el asks as he nods, "thank god hawkins is small and we can walk the whole thing."

"i know right!" she agrees with a laugh, "also, you still haven't complimented lia on her cute pig tails! and her outfit too!"

"she looks like this everyday. you make her look like this everyday." he says and pulls aurelias thumb from out of her mouth.

"yeah, well she's extra cute today with those baby strands in the front." she points to aurelias hair as he nods, "fine, she looks extra cute today."

"why, thank you. she takes after me of course." she grins and grabs aurelia back, "don't you, lia? you're as pretty as mommy is."

"like you!" aurelia laughs as el hugs her tightly, "yes, you are!"

"mama, waffle." aurelia mumbles as el chuckles, "good for you, we are going to a diner and they have everything."

"everything!?"

"yes, everything! want a chocolate milkshake?" el whispers as aurelia gasps, "milkshake!"

"milkshake!" el cheers with her as aurelia laughs, "pancakes?"

"and pancakes too, baby." el smiles widely, "you're gonna love it, i promise you."

"here!?" aurelia cries as she nods, "it appears so. i actually forgot how small this place was."

hopper opens for the door for them, "hawkins is tiny, kid."

el smiles at him and walks in, "i just forgot, dad." she walks to a booth and places aurelia down by the window, "i know you did, so the usuals?"

"yeah but i need to get something for lia too." she turns to aurelia who was staring out the window, "waffles or pancakes, sweetheart?"
