UNEXPECTED COMPANY

"mama! mama! mama!" aurelia cries and shakes el's face, "mommy!"

"aurelia, darling, sleep." el murmurs and removes her hands from her face.

"mama. knock knock door." aurelia says and crawls onto her upper body. el nods and wraps her arms around her body, "someones at the door?"

aurelia nods, "loud."

el yawns and nods, "sweetheart, just sleep and if they knock again i'll go get it." she murmurs as aurelia nods.

"mama," aurelia whispers, "again."

el chuckles tiredly, "yes, i can hear." she moves aurelia to the side and sits up, "go back to bed, i'll be back in a sec."

aurelia nods and hugs the covers. sighing, el grabs a cardigan and puts it on since she was only in a tank top and sweats and then walks out to opens hoppers room door.

she chuckles when she sees him dead asleep and snoring and then walks downstairs to open the door.

"max?" el asks as max smiles widely before moving to the side, "it was dustins fault!"

"w-what?" el furrows her eyebrows, "i don't have time for this, i— lucas? w-will?" she looks further and scowls, "oh dustin, i'm going to fucking kill you!" she walks outside and shuts the door.

"it has been two days!" el shoves him as he yelps, "two fucking days, dustin! and wow, everyone knows i'm here now! what part of don't tell them did you not understand!?"

"well we were talking and i got a little too excited!" he yells as she raises her hand to punch him but gets pulled back from lucas.

"i stopped him after he shouted you were back." max whispers in her ear as she sighs and nods.

"now you see me, get the fuck out of my driveway." she opens the front door again but will stops her, "do we not get a hug?"

el frowns and turns around as the door shuts again. "fine," she opens her arms, "go on."

both lucas and will embraces her into a tight hug, "i hate you guys." el mumbles and hugs back as they chuckle, "we missed you too, el." lucas says.

"see! it'll all work out!" dustin exclaims as el glares at him, "i'm never telling you anything again." she pulls back from the hug.

"but it worked out." he says as she scoffs, "working out means i'm happy with what's happening and i am not." she glares at mike who was standing at the back, "it did not work out, dustin."

"you're mean in the mornings." he mumbles as she fakes a smile, "yeah?" she turns around and walks back into the house, "goodbye!" she goes to shut the door but max stops her, "i'm staying."

"max." el states as max gives her pleading eyes, "fine, but only you." el gives in as max squeals and walks in through the doors.

"if she's staying, i'm staying!" lucas follows as el gasps as the door slams open all the way, "then me too!" will walks in, "if he gets to stay, i'm staying." dustin follows.
