TWO PERCENT TOLERANCE

"hey uh, kylie?" el calls as kylie hums, "i finished my report. it's on nicks desk and i'm going out for a break." she informs.

"sure thing." kylie smiles as el nods and holds her bag close before exiting the building.

walking out, she reaches the end of the building and turns to walk into the back alley.

sliding down the wall, she sits down on the concrete ground and stares down at her legs. twisting her arm, she pulls her sleeve up and stares down at the obvious bite mark.

she traces her finger across the outline of her teeth mark and sighs quietly before holding her wrist close.

suddenly, she hears a loud footstep occur and she looks up slowly before quickly pulling her sleeve down.

mike sits down without a word.

she hits the back of her head on the wall as he holds out a flask towards her making her look at him confusingly.

"tequila. to make you feel better." he says.

she grabs the flask and takes a sip, "i don't feel better." she mutters.

"yeah? rent a fucking studio and do your ballet steps." he says as she snorts.

she turns to face him, "why are you even here?"

"i saw you come out. you didn't look too good." he says.

"yeah? i always don't look good." she scoffs.

he sighs and nods before standing up.

she looks up quickly, "what are you doing?"

"leaving. you clearly don't want me here." he nods again.

as he began to walk away she reaches out for his wrist, "don't go."

he smiles softly and sits back down.

she hands the flask back towards him, "i'm trying, you know."

"huh?" he takes a sip out of the flask but then realises it was empty. he chuckles quietly as she continues, "to be around you. speak to you. forgive you."

"you don't have to forgive me." he states.

"i know. but i don't want to live with so much hatred towards you. you must have had your reasons back then and i... i shouldn't force an explanation out of you." she whispers, "you just wanted out."

she wanted an explanation. she wanted to know what she did wrong.

"i should've gave you one." he whispers back, "i should've told you that it wasn't your fault."

she laughs sarcastically, "it had to be. there's two people in a relationship, it's one or the other."

"no, el-"

"seriously. it's fine. i should be over it. it happened already." she cuts him off with a shrug.

he nods silently, "still. im sorry."
