The Red Delilah

I stood there in complete shock. A rush of realization came to me. The flower in Mia's room. The red flower. A red delilah. A symbol of betrayal. Mia smiled at us. But it wasn't the sweet smile or the confident one we knew. It was sly. Malicious. Evil. But yet, I could still see her in it. Hurting inside. I knew it.

I looked over to the group's faces. All were filled with pure shock. But I looked over to Bebe. Her face? Pure heartbreak.

Mia pulled back her bangs that had always covered her eyes. One was blood red, and the other was black as midnight. She laughed in an insane, and it echoed eerily.  I looked angry but upset and sad at the same time. Mia took out her throwing knives and stood straight in a sophisticated and haughty manner. Code pointed to us. "I see you have met my pawn. My most powerful servant." She said. Alli looked a bit annoyed and looked away in a bit of a stubborn attitude. Whisp looked at Alli and growled in a threatening manner. "Now, First Lieutenant..." She said to Mia. "Attack and kill them." She commanded. Mia nodded and bowed. She suddenly ran over to us, knives ready.

I blocked her with my machete just in time as she lunged at me. I threw her off but she bounced back and jumped at me again. I kept blocking her, and finally slashed at her. I realized halfway that I would harm her badly. I pulled my machete down and only sliced her at bit on her face. She touched her cut softly and smiled at me. "Wow. That was weak." She mocked.

I was angry, but a part of me still didn't want to hurt her. Mia grinned evilly. I lowered my head, scared to continue the fight. I stole a glance from Mama, who looked determined as ever. A quiet snapping sound filled the air. I saw Mia's eyelids become heavy as she fought the sleep magic coming over her. She growled, trying to keep awake from the inevitable sleep about to befall her. She smiled and threw one of her knives and stuck it to the ground. It summoned dozens of Scouts. She smiled, "Good luck with that." She growled before falling to the ground, asleep.

Bebe raised her sickles, facing the Scouts. "We'll deal with them. You go figure out what's going on in her mind." She said. I nodded and knelt down to the sleeping Mia. I put the index finger of my right hand on my forehead and the index finger of my left hand on Mia's. My eyes glowed completely white as I came into her mind scape.

It was much more unusual than other mind scapes I had been in. All I could hear was quiet sobbing with gasps for breath in between. I wandered the source of the sobs, almost walking aimlessly in the void. I finally found a figure that contrasted with the darkness and ran to it. I saw who it was and slowed down. Once I reached next to the figure, I sat down. She sat there, holding her knees to her chest, burying her head in her knees. I looked at her, trying to hold my head up. "Hi Mia." I greeted her. She gasped and looked up at me, her bangs covering her eyes again.

"You gave us a warning, didn't you?" I asked. "What...?" She asked. "The flower in your room. It's a red delilah. A symbol of betrayal." I said. She responded with a haunting silence. "I guess I'm right?" I whimpered.
