Blonde Hair in Her Eyes

I couldn't stop staring. It was strange.

Intense even.

I stroked my finger on the table. I couldn't stop staring at the blonde-haired girl sitting in front of me. I had very mixed emotions about her. This wasn't helped by the fact that she kept her bangs in front of her eyes, so I couldn't use my emotional telepathy to read her emotions. I was pretty good at reading people's emotions, but it was mostly because of what I saw in their eyes.

When someone is angry, it's like there's flames in their eyes. When someone's sad, I can see even the slightest bit of water welling into their eyes. And when they're happy, there's sparkles and flashes of light in them.

That's why it was so ominous to not see her- Mia's eyes. I didn't know what she was thinking. I heard that when you're stressed, or scared, or nervous, one of those, you noticed more things around you. I'm not too observant, so what was going on for me was startling. I noticed a lot more.

The one thing I noticed the most was Mia's breathing. It was heavy, shaking, deep breathing. It made me worried. It was like she was struggling to breath. I knew that feeling all to well. It was a memory still fresh in my mind.

I also noticed a bit more. The soft ticking of the clock. The flickering of the lantern illuminating the room. Cherry and Glow Worm whispering to each other. And Unnamed's pencil pressing and writing on a notepad.

Everything seemed to get more intense by the second. Was I the only one feeling this? I turned to Bebe to see her face, but she was still eating her soup. I could barely hold my spoon, I was shaking. I couldn't handle the intensity. I just got up walked out of the dining room.

Who was this girl?
