I jumped up and ran over to the other room, running past Cherry, Unnamed, and Mia. Someone grabbed my wrist and I stumbled backwards and back in front of the person who pulled me back. Mia. "W-why did you-" She cut me off. "She needs her time. Her first reaction won't always be her last. She needs time to take this in." Mia said. I bit my lip but nodded. "You're right..." I trailed off.
Unnamed glanced to their notebook and wrote something down. "Should we check on Glow Worm?" It read. Cherry didn't even answer and just ran over to where Glow Worm had escaped. I followed Cherry, who was far ahead of me. I entered Glow Worm's room. The walls and ceiling were painted bright blue and there were cotton balls on the ceiling, forming clouds. Rocks were used as decoration, night lights in every plug, and other light decorations everywhere. Glow Worm's bed was in a corner, a bean bag chair in another, a wardrobe in the other, and some picture frames in the last.
Glow Worm was sitting on his bed, practically sobbing while being hugged by Cherry, hushing him. I'd never seen Cherry so sympathetic to Glow Worm. They were usually just like siblings, getting into fights, tackling each other, teasing and taunting the other. I stood at the door before rushing over to join the hug. After a few minutes of calming Glow Worm down, I sighed and got up. I walked over to Bebe's room. Her room had a bit of a circus/mountain vibe. It wasn't too cute, but it was charming. She had a table next to her white bed with small balloon decor and a puppy lantern. She had a large light brown wardrobe and a rack for jewelry. But she never took off her special golden necklace.
It looked like half of a cross with small golden pieces on it. Glow Worm had the same necklace. They never took it off. We assumed that it was a sign of their sibling love. Bebe was sitting in the middle of her room. Sobbing. I hadn't seen her so broken.
I sat next to her and stayed quiet. "G-go away-!" She sobbed. I stayed quiet. I sighed. "R-remember when Lester got food poisoning?" I asked softly. Bebe's sobs slowed down. "Y-yea..."
"You never left his side." I turned to her, seeing a slight smile across her lips. "I would never leave him. He's my little brother." Bebe leaned on my shoulder. "I'm... Actually kinda happy Mama left Lester there. That all started a chain of events that lead us here." She mumbled. "I messed up... Didn't I, Gun?" She sighed. "Well, It's not too late to make things right!" I said encouragingly.
I looked at her, smiling. Bebe sighed and got up. I followed her to the kitchen. Mama was sitting at the table by herself, tears rolling down her cheeks. Bebe sat down in front of her. They looked at each other, both of their eyes filled with regret.
"I'm sorry." They said in unison. They looked up at the other, shocked. "I really am..." Bebe continued. "I hope you can forgive me." Mama competed. I smiled from the doorway, feeling tears drip down my face. Adorable...
