"Mr. Fullbuster?" The teacher called, snapping Gray out of a daze.
"Hm?" Gray mumbled, sitting up straight as if he was paying attention.
"I asked if you know the materials produced by photosynthesis, but it seems you haven't been listening to me."
Gray quickly shook his head, a confident smile on his face. "No way, Mr. Morris. The answer is sugar and oxygen," he told him, sitting back now as if relieved he didn't miss anything important.
The teacher nodded. He was always impressed by how smart the boy was. Even if he hadn't listened the entire class, he somehow always knew the answer to the questions.
The final bell of the day rang loudly, sending the students out of their seats and out the door. Gray stood up slowly, walking out the door with his books under his arm.
It was only 3:30, which meant he had thirty more minutes before he was to meet Juvia in front of the school.
He made his way to his locker, throwing in his books and packing his bag before throwing it over his shoulder.
"Gray!"
The dark haired boy turned his head to see the blonde female running his way.
"Hello to you too, Lucy."
Lucy reached Gray, panting as she did.
"Did you ask her about bowling tonight?" Lucy asked, leaning on her knees. Her words came out in between pants, making Gray chuckle.
"Yeah," he said, nodding as he closed his locker. "We said we'd talk about it after I show her around."
"Okay! Well, Natsu and I plan to head over there about seven. We'll meet you there?" Lucy said, tightening her ponytails that sat on the sides of her head.
"We'll see," Gray said, waving as Lucy ran the opposite way, meeting up with the small blue haired bookworm, Levy.
Levy was always quiet and usually in the library. Gray didn't talk to her much, mostly because of her boyfriend, Gajeel.
Lucy enjoyed Levy's company, though. Lucy found her alone in the library one year and took a liking to her and brought her into their group. Erza then introduced her to Gajeel, which began the great romance.
Gray looked at the clock on the wall. It read 3:50, only ten more minutes until he would need to go meet Juvia.
The black haired male exited the school, making his way to the entrance. He was always one to be early, especially during this sort of thing. He knew better than to keep a girl waiting.
Gray rested against the wall outside the school, his eyes scanning the crowd for the blue haired beauty, Juvia.
〈・・・・・・・・・・・・〉
Juvia rushed through the halls, hastily grabbing her bag out of her locker before running out of the school. Her breathing was heavy, a sign she had run from her class all the way outside.
"Would've liked the tour before classes," she mumbled to herself, putting a hand to her red cheeks as she continued to take deep breaths.
The female took a look at the clock that hung above the entrance of the school.
4:00 exactly.
She took a look around, quickly noticing the tall black haired male standing at the main entrance of the school.
Just the sight of him brought a smile to Juvia's face, and she pillaged through the crowd quickly.
Once there, she walked over to an already-smirking Gray. He no longer wore his jacket. Only a white collared shirt that showed his muscular arms.
"I see you found your way here," he said, crossing his arms in front of him.
Juvia nodded, her cheeks still red from the run from her classroom.
"Not easily but finding the main entrance isn't too difficult," she replied, stuffing her books into her bag then threw it around her shoulders.
Gray chuckled and nodded, looking down at her before turning his body from her.
"Well, let's begin this tour, shall we?"
Juvia gave him a nod before following him back into the school.
The two walked through the whole school. Gray showed her all the classrooms while occasionally cracking some jokes just to make her giggle.
At long last, they ended back up at the main entrance.
"And that, is our school," Gray said, smiling down at her.
Juvia looked around, her broad smile on her face as always.
"It's beautiful. The gardens especially."
Juvia always was one to like the outdoors, especially the rain. She liked the sounds and smells it produced.
Juvia looked at the deserted lot then up at the clock above their heads.
4:57.
Gray followed her gaze up to the clock, then a smirk came back to his face. He threw his bag into the grass.
"Good. We still have some time."
Juvia raised an eyebrow before looking up at him.
"Time? Time for what?"
Gray smirked down at her and quickly took her hand, rushing into the school again. The force made Juvia drop her bag, leaving it stranded on the green grass next to Gray's.
It was a struggle for the female to keep up with the male as he dragged her along, but she did well.
Gray raced up many flights of stairs before stopping abruptly. The action made Juvia run into his back.
The male looked around at the dark hallway before digging in his pocket. He pulled out a silver key, then squeezed Juvia's hand. He turned to look down at her before saying, "Ready?"
Juvia could only nod, not sure if she was ready or not.
Gray then used the key to unlock the only door in the hallway. It took him a few tries before the door bursted open, and a ray of light shot in.
The roof top was beautiful. Full of different flowers and plants, large skylights that students could stand on. The roof had a large stone wall going around it, a safety precaution.
Gray smiled as Juvia let go of his hand and walked forward, the awe on her face.
"My dad showed me this place when I was a freshman. He used to go here too, before I was born. My mom and him use to come up here all the time. It was their own little safe haven. I'm the only one who knows about it," Gray said, walking forward to stand beside her. "And now, so do you."
Juvia turned around, a large smile on her face. It meant so much for him to trust her like that, to show her the sacred thing no one else knew about. Small tears of joy formed in her eyes, and she ran forward, wrapping her arms around Gray.
"Thank you," she whispered, her cheek pressed against his chest. She smiled again before looking up at him with glassy eyes. "Now this is our safe haven, too."
She smiled again before standing on her tippy-toes and kissing him gently on the cheek.
